Today we’re holding space for every kind of mum. 🌸

To the mums with little hands wrapped around their fingers.
To the mums who are carrying their babies beneath their hearts.
To the mums who are raising children who need extra care, patience and strength.
To the mums who are missing their babies today.
To the mums who long to be one.
And to the mums whose children have grown but will always be their babies.

Motherhood isn’t one story. It’s joy, exhaustion, fierce love, grief, pride, worry and hope, often all at once.

Today we honour every version of motherhood and every woman walking her own path through it.

This isn’t the typical photography post,
but I wanted to share something important…

Tomorrow I’ve been invited to the Senedd to give evidence to the Health and Social Care Committee Inquiry on the lack of support for unpaid carers in Wales.

This isn’t just policy, it’s people’s lives. Things must change for our generation. I can’t bear the thought of our children growing up to fight the same battles. I never imagined becoming an unpaid carer while raising three young children, yet here we are navigating a system that overlooks the people holding everything together.

I’ve already had a lengthy meeting with the Minister for Mental Health and Wellbeing, Sarah Murphy, and shared not only our own experiences but the stories so many parents have trusted me with, burnout, lack of respite, and families stretched to breaking point.

I’m opening this up again in case anyone else wants their voice heard. The Committee is looking at what support is critical, the impact of not having it, and how impossible it is to sustain the role without proper help.

If you feel comfortable sharing anything, big or small, please message me privately. Your experiences matter, and I’ll do everything I can to make sure they’re heard.

This is for all of us, and for the generations who follow.

🕊️ Such a beautiful step forward, baby loss certificates will soon be available in Wales, giving every little life the recognition and love they deserve. 💙

I shared this in my Facebook group first, but it was too sweet not to post here too 🥹

How did these three grow up so fast?!
I swear I only blinked and suddenly they’re running the show!
A little Photoshop magic made it look like they all sat still together (because that’s never happening in real life 🤣).

Which one gets your vote? 1️⃣, 2️⃣ or 3️⃣? 📸

You may have seen the recent stories in the local press about shocking failures in safeguarding within childcare settings. As a parent, it’s frightening and it highlights just how vital proper checks are when it comes to keeping children safe.

This is why I have always held an enhanced DBS check. It’s the most thorough level of background check available, including checks against the barred lists for working with children.

When you welcome me to photograph your newborn or family, you’re not just choosing someone with a camera. You’re choosing someone who understands the trust you place in them and takes the responsibility of working with children as seriously as you do.

For me, your child’s safety will always come before the photograph. 💗

Read more about why I chose to get my enhanced DBS here:

Letting someone else hold your newborn baby is a huge deal.Your baby has been in your arms for days, maybe weeks, and now, for the first time, you're trusting someone else to care for them, even just for a moment. It’s an incredibly emotional experience. And one that deserves to be met with care, ...

⚠️ This Decision Will Destroy Inclusion in Bridgend and Porthcawl

Bridgend County Borough Council is proposing to SCRAP FREE BLUE BADGE PARKING in Bridgend and Porthcawl. If you think this won’t affect you, think again.

💔 I’m not just a photographer and small business owner. I’m a full-time carer for our six-year-old autistic son Iestyn, he has no danger awareness, and I am his voice, his advocate, who navigates his world so he can be present.

Getting out of the house is HARD. We don’t pop into town for a browse.Every outing is a military operation, loading specialist equipment, managing meltdowns, navigating sensory overload, and keeping him safe from traffic and crowds. Accessible parking isn’t a perk. It’s our only way in.

If this proposal goes ahead, families like mine will be forced to stay home. Not because we want to, but because the council is making it impossible for us to be included.

Local businesses will suffer. Disabled families will disappear. This is how segregation starts, by design.

As someone who serves and photographs families, I can’t stay silent. As a carer, I’m exhausted and heartbroken. As a local, I’m angry.

🗓️ Deadline: 22nd August 2025
📢 Tag others. Tag businesses. SHARE.

Because if this goes through, more cuts will follow. And we will ALL lose.

Tomorrow marks the start of Rainbow Baby Awareness Month, a tender time for families who’ve known the ache of loss and the hope that follows. 🌈

I’m sharing because the work they do truly matters. In the quietest, hardest moments, they show families they’re not alone. Through gentle support, they honour every tiny life with love and care.

Please give their page a follow, and share their work, it might be the lifeline someone needs to feel seen, held, and not forgotten. 💛

Sophie and her beautiful daughter Daisy sharing a tender moment by the sea. 🌊🤰🏼👧
Seeing their bond reminds me how strong and full of love a mum and her girl can be. The beach is part of their story, a place where memories grow and new beginnings shine.

🎖️ CERTIFICATE OF SURVIVAL 🎖️
Week One of the Summer Holidays: ✅ COMPLETE.

To every parent who’s navigated snack negotiations, screen time debates, “I’m bored” every 20 minutes, and at least one meltdown (possibly your own)… this one’s for you. 👏

I’ve made a printable certificate so you can download it, display it proudly on your fridge, or just have a laugh with your fellow survivors. Because let’s be honest this parenting level deserves a medal. Or at least a strong coffee.

No matter how big they get, they’ll always be her babies. 🌊❤️
A proud mum with her two sons and daughter, sharing their unbreakable bonds by the sea. The beach isn’t just the backdrop, it’s part of their story, woven into the sand beneath their feet and the breeze in their hair. A story of lifelong connection and endless care.

What’s one thing your family always comes back to, no matter how much time passes?
