Ok. So it’s not actually me but thought the track worked well with this photo sequence on windy Thursday at the 29er Nationals!
To be fair to the sailors, they didn’t capsize!
If it’s you, comment and I will tag you!

The final day of the 29er National Championships at HISC.
As is traditional, fancy dress costumes are the order of the day with some great efforts on display.
Sadly the wind didn’t play ball and although there were some vallient attempts to start a race, each time the wind shifted significantly resulting in the start being abandonded.
The crews race then took place in the dieing breeze as the boats raced ashore.
That’s a wrap for the 2026 nationals. Well done to all of the sailors and thank you to all of the vollunteers for enabling events like this to happen.
Photos from Friday are now live on my website.

A day of two halves and a new experience for me personally on day 5 of the 29er Nationals.
With the strong breeze and sea state in the bay the (right) decision was made to only send the gold fleet out whilst keeping the silver fleet postponed ashore.
The gold fleet had 2 great races in some challenging conditions before heading ashore.
Silver fleet had the opportunity to race in the harbour, but only once the tide was high enough; allowing the race management team and myself to come ashore in between, allowing me to have the new experience of eating lunch ashore. Very civilised!
Mid-afternoon the silver fleet then had their chance to get two good races in with some punchy but sailable conditions.
Photos from the day are now live on my website.

Today’s top tip - If you’re going to capsize, don’t do it right in front of the media RIB!

29er Nationals day 2 - It was great to be back at HISC to capture some sailing action. A tricky wind day with a decent 12 knot breeze eventually settling allowing the fleet to get 3 good races in.

I’ve always been a fan of sprint racing, maybe it reminds me of short, sharp team racing I used to do, or maybe it’s an increasing like of them the older I get - Avoiding the flat out hiking for 15 minutes and replacing it with 6 15 minute races!
Either way, watching the RS21s having some REALLY close stadium racing at Travemünde Woche right in front of the crowds was fun to both watch and capture.
