Lately I’ve been reflecting on just how many families have trusted me to capture their memories.

Tiny newborn fingers that are now holding school bags.

Babies I’ve photographed through their first year who are now running into the studio with huge smiles.

Families who have returned again and again, allowing me to document their milestones, celebrations and memories.

When I first picked up a camera, I never imagined how many moments I would be invited to be a part of.

Photographs have a funny way of becoming more valuable with time.

The sleepless newborn days.
The gummy smiles.
The chubby little hands.
The way your children look at you when they think nobody is watching.

These aren’t just photographs.

They’re part of your family’s legacy.

They become the images your children will look back on years from now. The reminders of a chapter that felt endless at the time but passed far too quickly. The moments that deserve to be remembered, displayed and treasured for generations.

To every family who has stepped in front of my camera, trusted me with your precious memories, recommended me to your friends, shared my work, or simply followed along on this journey…

📸 Family Portrait Experience Day – Saturday 13th June 📸

As Hello YOU Studios continues to grow, I’m passionate about helping the next generation of photographers gain real-life experience in a professional studio environment.

Emily has been spending time with me learning about photography, working with families and understanding how sessions run behind the scenes. She’ll now be taking the next exciting step and photographing a limited number of family sessions under my guidance and supervision.

✨ Saturday 13th June
✨ 30-minute family portrait session
✨ 3 digital images included
✨ Immediate family only
✨ £47 booking fee
✨ Additional images available if desired

I’ll be there throughout the session to support and guide Emily, making this a wonderful opportunity to update your family photographs while helping a young photographer build confidence and experience.

Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Nobody talks about this part…

Everyone tells you things like:

✨ “It’ll come naturally.”
✨ “You’ll just know what to do.”
✨ “Enjoy every moment.”

But nobody told me about the moment that hit me like a ton of bricks.

I was almost 17 years old, sitting on the living room floor holding my newborn baby. My husband was heading off to football practice and suddenly it hit me…

I had a baby.

Not for a day.
Not for a week.
Not until somebody came to help.

This was my life now.

I remember sitting there and bursting into tears.

Not because I didn’t love my baby.
Not because I regretted becoming a mum.

But because I was completely overwhelmed by the reality of what had just happened and what my future was going to look like.

One minute you’re pregnant and everyone is focused on the birth.

The next, you’re sent home with a tiny human and expected to somehow know what you’re doing.

Looking back now, I wish more people had spoken honestly about those moments.

So I’m curious…

Toddlers don't sit still for long... and honestly, that's where the magic happens. 🤍

The giggles, the curious little expressions, the cheeky smiles, the determined independence, and all those tiny quirks that make them who they are right now.

These days can feel endless when you're living them, but somehow they disappear in the blink of an eye.

Capturing your little one's personality exactly as they are today is something you'll never regret looking back on years from now.

Watching babies grow from their tiny newborn days into smiley, squishy little sitters will never stop being special 🥹

Sitter sessions are so often overlooked, but honestly… this stage is one of my favourites to capture.

The newborn curls start disappearing and suddenly their little personalities begin shining through 🤍
The giggles, the cheeky smiles, the baby rolls, the wobbly sitting, the curiosity in their eyes… it’s such a beautiful in-between stage that passes far too quickly.

From sleepy newborn snuggles to sitting up and showing the world who they are becoming ✨
Just look at the difference in such a short space of time.

A little quiet over here lately… not because nothing’s happening, but because everything is happening behind the scenes. 🤍

There’s been a lot of work going on internally at Hello YOU Studios lately refining systems, simplifying processes, rethinking the client journey, and building something that feels even more intentional, personal and special for the families who trust us with their memories.

Sometimes growth doesn’t look loud.
Sometimes it looks like long days, hard decisions, clearing space, rebuilding foundations and making sure the next chapter is stronger than the last.

But amongst all of that… moments like this still stop me in my tracks.

The connection.
The closeness.
The reminder of why this all matters in the first place.

And honestly? I’m really excited for what’s coming next. ✨
