Keep it simple.

I love warm, earthy colours for autumn — think chocolate brown, rust, olive green, creams and warm neutrals. Mix in a few different textures and layers and you really can’t go wrong.

You definitely don’t need to match (actually, please don’t 😂) and you absolutely don’t need to buy everyone a brand new wardrobe either.

Start with an outfit you already own and feel really good in, then build everyone else around you 🤎

This is the stuff I’m always looking for 🤍

Not everyone looking at the camera.
Not perfectly behaved children.
Not everyone standing in exactly the right place.

Just you lot being you.

The cuddles, the chaos, the way they climb all over you, the little looks between you and all the bits that probably feel completely ordinary right now.

Because those are nearly always the photographs that end up meaning the most.

And after six weeks at home with my own two — as ready as I was for that school gate this morning 😂 — I’m feeling this more than ever.

The ordinary stuff really is the good stuff. 🤍

Half my Autumn Minis sold within 15 minutes on Friday. 🤯🍂

And I don’t say that as a LOOK HOW AMAZING I AM thing 😂

I say it because I know how easy it is to look at another photographer selling out their Mini Sessions and think…

Well, it’s alright for her.

She has more followers.
She has more clients.
People just book hers.

But honestly, there isn’t some big secret happening over here.

I’ve just done this a LOT.

Over the years I’ve worked out what works for me, what doesn’t, when I need to start talking about my sessions, how I use my VIP list, how I launch them and how I get people excited before the booking link ever lands.

So when I pressed go on Friday morning, I wasn’t starting from scratch.

And within 15 minutes, half had gone. 🥹

That’s the bit I want to teach you.

Not how to copy my Autumn Minis. Not a magic Instagram caption that’s suddenly going to sell everything.

I want to help you build a Mini Session system that you can come back to every single season.

But another summer with them is over and somehow that bit gets me every year. 🤍

I feel like this summer has absolutely flown by. It’s been busy, chaotic, full of juggling work around the boys… but also SO much fun.

Days out with friends, beach evenings, paddleboarding, little adventures and all those completely ordinary moments in between.

I think sometimes I’m so busy thinking about what’s next that I forget to notice how lovely right now actually is.

They’re growing up ridiculously quickly and I know one day these will be the summers I wish I could go back to 🥹

So here are five little moments I want to remember from this one 🤍

Crunchy leaves, cosy knits, little hands collecting all the sticks 😂 and those gorgeous autumn colours at Upton Country Park.

They’re short, relaxed and completely child-led — 20 minutes is honestly plenty of time for us to capture a beautiful little snapshot of your family exactly as you are right now.

The reality of running a business through the summer holidays 😂

A LOT of working in the gaps, editing around days out, emails from the kitchen table, children appearing in the background of absolutely everything and constantly feeling like I’m switching between Mum mode and photographer mode.

But also… beach evenings photographing families, paddleboarding, sea swims, slow mornings with the boys and getting to build my work around our life.

It’s definitely not the most productive season of the year 😂 but I wouldn’t change it.

And today feels like a pretty lovely way to finish the summer juggle because my Autumn Mini Sessions are officially OPEN 🍂

Their little personalities exactly as they are now.
