Today is Wave of Light, a day to remember the babies gone too soon and the families who carry their memory with them.

At Gillard Studios, we’ve been lucky enough to photograph so many beautiful rainbow babies as part of our Rainbow Baby Project which we've been working on this year. Every little face in these photographs has their own story, and behind some of those stories is a journey that not everyone will see.

A rainbow baby doesn’t replace the baby who came before them. Love for one doesn’t take away the love for another.

Today, we’re thinking of all the babies who are missed, the parents who carry them in their hearts, and the families navigating the complicated mix of love, hope and loss.

Lighting a candle, remembering, and holding space for every little life that will never be forgotten. 🕯️🌈

After a year of hard work behind the scenes, Aftermath has finally opened its doors in Pontypridd and we couldn’t be happier to see it become a reality. ❤️

Over the past year, we’ve had the opportunity to meet with Matt a few times as part of representing local businesses in Pontypridd, asking questions, challenging ideas and sharing our thoughts on what we’d like to see for our town.

So it’s been brilliant to finally see all their hard work come together.

If you haven’t been down yet, pop in for a cuppa. The staff are genuinely fantastic, full of energy and make a banging coffee. 👌

But what makes Aftermath really different is the people behind the counter. Every member of staff is in recovery from drug or alcohol addiction, with Aftermath providing them with a stepping stone back into employment, confidence and everyday life.

We’ll be honest, there were reservations at the beginning. But watching the journey over the past year, they’ve absolutely smashed it.

And there’s plenty more to come, with the whole journey set to appear on TV soon. 👀

As a Pontypridd business ourselves, we really want to see Aftermath succeed.

So if you’re in town, pop in, grab a coffee and show them some love. ☕️❤️
