Life has a funny way of working sometimes, here’s one example of that:

In 2020 I spent 7 weeks in the French ski resort of Morzine, linked to Avoriaz and the larger Portes du Soleil. As we all know, covid shut the whole world off, leading me to go home and think about the next step of what I would do with my life.

5 years later, I returned back to familiar grounds but from a completely different direction, capturing a full week of snow, apres and artists. I knew I would return, I just never knew when.

That when was for Snowboxx, hired to work with an amazing team in the alps and capture content for next years campaigns.

This business continues to surprise me with the opportunities it presents me, to say I feel blessed is an absolute understatement.

Little business update - I've been shortlisted as a finalist for 2 business awards! 🛎️

It's great to see the recognition for all the hard work I put into building this business daily.

In the next 2 weeks I travel up north for the awards ceremony and find out whether I win my first (and maybe even second) business award.

Smiling, just like the second photo!

It's been a hot minute since posting. Sometimes, life just catches up with you and the reality of running the business means all energy, creativity and effort goes into ensuring all my clients needs are fully met before my own.

I'm sure many of you have been wondering what's been happening over this way? (or not).🌎

Summer season is an all-out season for me. New projects, new campaigns, new marriages, learning new ways to balance and grow. It all happens, every year.

So what's been going down..

Last week saw a new campaign for a big project being launched in October, a returning client with a new project being launched at the end of this week, signing off a new visual re-fresh for a major groundworks company here in the Southwest and the wedding of Chloe and Will. 💍

I would never want anyone in the industry to think these posts are to brag about projects and business growth, however sometimes you need to step back and give yourself the credit that hard work and dedication does create a successful story.

Plus I make a pretty good veil holder. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sorry, I’m a little late to the Aurora party! ✨

This isn’t the most beautiful photos of the Aurora, nor is it anywhere close to my best of work, but after missing Friday nights light dance I made the spontaneous decision at midnight last night to head to the north Cornish coastline and capture the last of this beautiful solar storm.

You’ve probably heard this before and it’s true, I travelled Iceland last year in the peak of the Aurora and didn’t see them, yet here I am posting a photo from home with the Aurora as the backdrop, pretty surreal!

It’s not as pretty as the ones you’ll see scattered across Instagram, but sometimes it’s the journey photography takes you to capture these moments. Big love to & for braving the decisions to head on a weird but wonderful journey into the unknown to capture these🙏

Although we convinced ourselves we could just about see these by eye, I’m forever glad I picked up a camera 6 years ago to capture memories like these 🌟

From the French alps to a sold out Ally Pally in London, it’s been quite a week!

Over the last week I have captured the Lost and Found Crew ski retreat in Meribel, to fly back into London for a sold out Hybrid Minds launch of their new album, tides.

What makes this week extra special was seeing the footage myself and Richard Fish Underwood captured in Iceland last year, used as visuals by Hybrid Minds and the release of their new album.

A project I’ve been more than excited to share since we captured it all last summer🙏

Sunrise or sunset, what you feeling?

It’s hard to believe this is winter. Little to no crowds, no crazy storms (yet) and the golden hour glow. That’s a recipe for a good photo.

Winter never felt so different ☀️

Fun fact, you don’t need to go to Scotland to see the highland cow 🐄

Story time..

After seeing these beautiful animals on a friends story, I wanted to get out and capture a few photos for myself. I went to Scotland in summer ‘21 and didn’t see any, so knowing there were some literally on my doorstep was my easiest chance.

Photography isn’t always about the final piece, but the journey to capture it.

Each photo captures a memory and those memories for me, last forever.

I could see these cows in the distance, in there own field. Unsure of how to get to them safely, I saw a women in a buggy driving around the fields. I managed to get up close and ask if she was the farmer, and if she would kindly let me around her farmland.

Interactions with people when I’m out really add to the journey. We sat and spoke for a while about life, about the farm, about her recent loss of her husband, the cows and how the farm and the cows bring her happiness.

She told me a few shortcuts and I was on my way.

So yeah, here’s the highland cow on the south coast, the complete other side of their origin 🏠
