Happy 1st Birthday - Before & After the Cake!

What a difference a cake makes! From sitting beautifully with his birthday cake to being absolutely covered in chocolate, this little birthday boy certainly knew exactly what a cake smash was all about!

Happy 1st Birthday to this gorgeous little man, who came into the studio today on his actual 1st birthday!

We started with the "before" shot - clean, smiling and sitting beautifully with his cake surrounded by all his Toy Story favourites.

And then... the cake smash happened!

I think it's safe to say he understood the assignment! Chocolate everywhere, cake completely demolished and one very happy little birthday boy.

These before and after photographs have to be some of my favourites from a cake smash - the second photo really does tell the whole story!

What a brilliant way to celebrate turning ONE.

After a lot of thought, I've decided it's time to take Pin and Pose Photography in a new direction.

Going forward, I'll be focusing on what I love most - creating beautiful images within my studio.

My services will mainly specialise in:

Creative Box Sessions
Maternity photography
Newborn photography
Baby milestone sessions
Cake Smash sessions
Toddler photography
Family studio portraits
Pet photography

This means I will no longer be offering on-location photography for weddings, engagements, anniversaries, christenings, memorials, funerals, commercial photography, corporate events or outdoor location shoots.

Bo***ir, Dudoir, fashion, editorial and glamour photography may still be considered where they can be created within the studio and fit my style of work.

Many of these themes can also be adapted into unique Studio Sessions or Creative Box Sessions, so if you have an idea in mind, please get in touch to discuss it.

Over the coming weeks I'll be updating my website, portfolio and pricing to reflect this exciting new direction.

By specialising in studio photography, I can continue investing in new ideas, props and creative setups, giving every client the very best experience from the moment they walk through the door.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Pin and Pose Photography over the years. I'm excited for this next chapter and can't wait to share what's coming next.

Another Beautiful Journey Begins

Some families become part of the Pin and Pose family.

I had the privilege of photographing this little lady's big sister throughout her first year, and now it's her turn. After capturing her newborn session and now her gorgeous 3-month milestone, I can't wait to continue documenting her incredible first year with her 6-month, 9-month and first birthday sessions.

One of the greatest compliments I can receive is when families come back with their next baby.

A few years ago, I photographed this little lady's big sister throughout her first year, capturing each milestone as she grew.

Now, it's baby sister's turn.

After her beautiful newborn session, she has returned for her 3-month milestone, and just look at those gorgeous blue eyes and those tiny little hands. Every stage brings something new, and these early months pass by in the blink of an eye.

The best part?

This is only the beginning.

I'll be seeing her again for her 6-month and 9-month milestone sessions before celebrating her very first birthday with a Cake Smash. By the end of her first year, her family will have a beautiful collection of memories that tells the story of just how much she has grown.

Being trusted to photograph not just one child, but siblings too, is something I never take for granted. Watching families grow and creating photographs that become part of their history is why I love what I do.

I can't wait to see how much she changes over the coming months.

A Journey That Began in 2022... and Continues Today

Some families become much more than clients.

I first photographed this beautiful big sister in 2022 when she was just 5 weeks old. I was there to celebrate her first birthday, and now I have the privilege of photographing her baby sister through exactly the same journey - from newborn, to 3 months, to this gorgeous 6-month milestone.

Next, they'll both be back for the 9-month milestone, before we celebrate another very special first birthday together.

This is one of the reasons I love milestone photography so much.

Back in 2022, this gorgeous little girl came into my studio for her very first photoshoot at just 5 weeks old. I watched her grow throughout her first year, capturing memories along the way, right through to her first birthday celebration.

Fast forward to today, and she's now the most beautiful big sister.

Her little sister has already followed in her footsteps with a newborn session, a 3-month milestone and now this gorgeous 6-month session. Seeing them together in front of my camera is incredibly special, especially knowing I've been part of both of their journeys from the very beginning.

And the story isn't over yet.

I'll be welcoming them back again for baby sister's 9-month milestone before celebrating another first birthday Cake Smash, just as I did with her big sister.

There is no greater compliment than a family returning with their next baby and trusting me to capture another year of precious memories. It means the world to me.

Watching children grow, seeing siblings become best friends, and creating photographs that will become family treasures for years to come is exactly why I do what I do.

Half a Year of Milestones - 6 Months of Pure Joy

Six months already! It was such a pleasure welcoming this beautiful little girl back into the studio for the next chapter of her milestone journey. After photographing her as a newborn and again at 3 months, it is amazing to see how much she has grown. Those bright eyes, gorgeous smile and curious little expressions make this stage one of my favourites. I can't wait to see how much she changes again at her 9-month session before we celebrate her first birthday with a Cake Smash.

One of the greatest privileges of my job is watching little personalities blossom.

From those tiny sleepy newborn cuddles, to the first smiles at 3 months, and now at 6 months... the changes are incredible.

This beautiful little girl came back into the studio for her latest milestone session, and she was full of curiosity, bright eyes and the sweetest expressions. These sessions are all about capturing who your baby is right now, because they change so quickly.

I absolutely love seeing families return throughout their baby's first year. Not only do you build a beautiful collection of professional photographs, but you also create a visual story of just how much they grow in such a short space of time.

Next stop... her 9-month session, followed by her 1st Birthday Cake Smash! I already know she's going to keep us smiling.
