Back to Spiders! Found this guy on the underside of a flower in the woods in Portugal . I’m not 100 percent sure but I think it’s a male Napoleon spider which is a species of crab spider .

I found this Female Oak Bush Cricket in the woods today! Never seen one before. And it struck this perfect pose after my main camera battery ran out ! Typical. That’s it’s ovipositor which it uses to lay eggs on the bark or moss of trees. Despite everything I’ve read saying it’s too late in the year , I’m pretty it was actually laying eggs in the moss .

Here’s one from the back garden! The always photogenic Misumena vatia posing beautifully in the tulips of my mums back garden. She only has a small garden in the city but it’s amazing what you can find when you really start looking.
