Plymouth & District Advanced Motorists Plymouth & District Advanced Motorists We are one of over 180 local groups affiliated to the IAM.

Our aim is to provide all the necessary coaching to prepare drivers for the IAM Advanced Driving test. All our Observers are volunteers and they are fully qualified to current IAM standards.

P&DAM Special offer:- are there any 17 to 25 year olds that you know, who are up for a challenge, by taking the Advanced Driver Course and if successful, receive a 50% refund.
They must be aged 17 to 25 (inclusive), hold a current full DVLA license, complete and pass the course, first time, within 12 months to receive the 50% refund. (course currently costs £210)

P&DAM - 1/2 - Our next Group Meeting is on Monday 18th May. Our Guest Speaker will be Des Payne from the British Horse Society. We will be at Derriford Church, PL6 6AB as usual from 7:15pm. We are also planning to attend 2 external events, Devonport Dockyard, 23/24 July and Mount Edgcumbe Car show on 2nd August - volunteers required please. Email Helen Allan if you can help. P&DAM April 2026 - our next Group Meeting is on Monday 20th. Our Speaker will be David Walker, Net Zero Delivery Officer, Plymouth City Council, on the topic of PCC’s EV Strategy. We will be at Derriford Church, PL6 6AB as usual from 7:15pm, please join us. Refreshments available on arrival.
