A collection of my mostly older landscape works that have been hanging about in a folder on my phone. I thought I'd post them here as well.

Golitha Falls, Cornwall. I felt like I'd travelled back to some earlier epoch. A magical Celtic glade with wonders around each river turn. I had the pleasure of teaching a client here on Sunday. A day long one-to-one landscape photography mentoring session. While my student swapped lenses and set up his tripod, I managed to do a little photography of my own. This was one of the scenes that fascinated me. The moss, the tumbled tree, the charging cascade. I could have spent the next half hour just taking it all in ! My client Gary, told me after our session ended he'd received a massive boost in confidence - and understanding - which as a teacher, is always great to hear. Places we went, both at Golitha Falls and then on the top of Bodmin Moor at Cheesewring near Minions, offered some very effective opportunities for composition !

Last weekend I hosted a very enjoyable workshop at Newlyn, Cornwall's largest still active fishing port. Despite the grey February weather & persistently blowing easterly wind, the four photographers who attended Nick Morris, Liz Richardson, Rachel Jordan and Kath Loxton, found some interesting subjects to explore ... these included: local fisherman sorting the catch, sea birds & lobster pots, as well as more abstract & intimate studies of rusting metals & wind abraded joinery.

The first four (composite) images shown here are images by myself & the group culled from last weekend's session, while the latter seven photos are from my initial 'research' walk about of the location, when planning the workshop.

I now run workshops in three separate locations around Cornwall, namely Truro, St Ives and Newlyn & am hoping to add more. Details of all workshops can be found at https://cornwallphotographygroup.co.uk
