The Remarkable hedge of Meikleour
(The Worlds Tallest Hedge )

Believed to have been planted in autumn of 1745, has been officially recorded since 1966 as the world’s tallest hedge.
Approximately 580 yards long ang average height of 100 feet.
The hedge was laid out by Jean mercer of Meikleour and her husband Robert murray Nairne,
Shortly he was killed fighting english at Culloden.
