A Hindu Pheras wedding in the Scottish Highlands.

An absolute treat being part of Jay & Gizelle's Catholic and Hindu wedding week in the Scottish Highlands last month. I have never seen such an energetic group of people and what a joy to see everyone erupt into dancing together.

It's been almost impossible selecting just a few moments to share here but as someone who had never witnessed a Hindu Pheras before, it seemed the perfect day to post. With an abundance of colour, decoration, music and tradition, this wedding was a total feast for the eyes. J&G hosted their wedding with family and friends from both Scotland and India which made for the most beautiful merging of cultures in the most magical of rural landscapes ✨

So many lovely memories from this beautiful outdoor ceremony at Ballintaggart Farm last September. G&N exchanged their vows with their closest friends and family whilst the late summer light rippled across the Strathtay Hills. Their own little corner of heaven for their wedding day! 🌞

A chic, intimate city wedding in Edinburgh with the lovely Catherine & Sam.

C&S hosted their beautiful wedding across The Royal Mile and Edinburgh New Town with their closest family and friends. Having opted for a smaller wedding to suit their style, they booked me for 4 hours of photography coverage to capture the moments which were most important to them during their day.

Whilst getting married may feel like an odd thing to do during a pandemic, after being part of many amazing micro weddings in the latter half of the year, I've come to realise it's the most wonderful thing to do during a pandemic.

My last wedding of the year really highlighted this for me, as I watched Mairi and Graeme utterly in love and smitten with one another. We spent some time exploring their favourite spots in Edinburgh after a beautiful ceremony with their closest friends and family.

Last August I was contacted by Rebecca and Johann from Sweden who were travelling to Edinburgh to elope before heading off on a Highland adventure.
This proved to be an incredibly special day for me as I was asked to be both photographer and witness at their intimate wedding at the City Chambers. I had never met either Rebecca or Johann before and so being the only invited individual to their wedding felt pretty darn special.
Rebecca loved the idea of taking portraits in green spaces in the city and so I took them to the perfectly secluded secret garden just off the Royal Mile where they were able to enjoy each others company in the warming early Autumn sun.
