What can I say….Im absolutely buzzing with last nights shoot which was quite a massive bit out of my comfort zone. However, I was shooting one of the most inspirational females I have ever met in . She is just an amazing individual. Passion runs through her from head to toe and we both, along with a fantastically supportive assistant in my daughter , had an utterly awesome night together. So, this is the first shot of a possible few to share with you. Very challenging but very, very rewarding. Hopefully I’ll be looking at doing more of the same in the near future.

Here is my set of images taken the other day at RSPB Troup Head of the most magnificent of birds, The Gannet. It was an absolute pleasure to watch these awe inspiring creatures as they went about their everyday lives while allowing me to try and capture a glimpse into their world for a short time. It was made even better by being accompanied by my world, my daughter Grace. What a way to spend an evening. See yous again soon birdies.

Last night was a really great night. I went out with the amazing Samantha who's patience knows no bounds. It was great to hang out and work with her again after so, so long not seeing each other due to this, that and the next thing. It was also really good to try something a wee bit different that I haven't been able to venture into for a wee while but there will hopefully be more chances in the future to collaborate and work on some new material soon.

For the meantime I and Sam hope you enjoy these images as much as we enjoyed collaborating on them.

Here are some of the images from yesterday evenings wee trip to RSPB Troup Head to see the fantastic Gannet colony.

These amazing birds were absolutely spellbinding to sit and watch, let alone be able to photograph them.

This was my first time at attempting to capture such an iconic subject.

They were definitely a lot more difficult to capture than I thought they would be. I will hopefully get back along the coast sometime soon in the near future to have another bash at capturing them in hopefully some better light.

Feeling very privileged to have been able to see them.

So, went out with a great pal last night to try and capture the Orion's Nebula once more and to test some new kit out. Im really pleased to share the results and hopefully, come time, and with gathering a lot more data and also getting a cloudless, moonless night which would help enormously, I should be well on the way to producing the image Im aiming for.

This was a really good step-up tonight though.
