It's celebrating everything photography, whether your an amateur hobbyist, seasoned professional or just like to snap those special moments this day is for everyone who loves photography.

Photography isn’t always about having the latest gadgets or the best camera, it’s about capturing a moment otherwise forgotten.

It’s about having a passion and acts as almost an distraction from the everyday mundane 9-5. It’s a form of escape almost from reality even though what you are capturing is indeed reality. It’s a way to express yourself when words can’t, and to find yourself also.

Photography calms the soul even when the anxiety is creeping in. because for that moment when your immersed in it that’s all that you are focused on.

Nothing can compare to the feeling I get when I am exploring new places and capturing every beautiful and serene moment.

Being only an amateur at this photography malarky I’ve been overwhelmed by the love, support and kind words I have received over the past few months. It’s so nice to be a part of such a supportive community of fellow like minded people. Thank you.

My favourite quote is the famous J.R.R. Tolkien who says that "Not all those who wonder are lost”.. because when I am out away from the confines of these 4 walls and I am able to explore these beautiful places it's like finding yourself all over again.

Below are a few of my favourite shots from the past couple of years from my travels around this beautiful wee country that I call home.

Please feel free to comment your own photos that you have taken also

The kelpies, Falkirk

Duke (head down) and Barron (head up) named and modelled after two Clydesdale horse who worked and lived in Pollok County Park Glasgow by Andy Scott

In Scottish folklore, a kelpie is a dangerous shape-shifting water creature that can appear on land as a horse. The kelpie appears to their human victims as a grey or white horse, entices them to ride on their back, then carries them down to a watery grave.
