The ocean has been one of those places that helps me to reset and be creative.
It makes you realise there’s a much bigger world outside of edits and emails.

It’s hard to talk about how much I love the ocean at the moment without feeling angry about what is happening to it. The sewage, the rubbish ….

This is why stories matter, facts are important, but sometimes it’s the feeling of a place that makes people care enough to actually do something.
Because when people care, they protect.

And the ocean needs a lot more of that right now.

You saw the BTS edit, but now it’s time to see a small selection of some of the clips I came home with. I’ve honestly been a bit nervous to post the actual footage. When a place is this incredible, you really want to do it justice - so I’ve focused on only animals for this.

It also felt like the right day to finally share since it’s Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday today. Nobody has told the story of the natural world better than him.
Because when the story matters, it is worth it.

It’s easy to focus on the big, iconic animals…
but the ones people forget about matter just as much

(and sometimes they steal the show 🥹)

Kept this one audio only, exactly as it felt.

Apparently I’m not finished with Finland yet…
Some stories take a few edits to tell, this one feels like more of the full picture.

The small moments are often the ones that say the most.

Capturing the rhythm of a place, the people behind it, and the feeling you’re left with long after you’ve been there, that’s the kind of storytelling I love creating.

Films that help businesses show not just what they do, but what it feels like to be part of it.

Nearly everyone tells me the same thing before we start filming “I hate being on camera” and I am here to tell you that you are not alone!

Here are a few things that help my clients feel more comfortable:

1. Wear something you feel good in, if you’re comfortable it will show.

2. Drink water
It helps more than you think when nerves kick in.

3. Give yourself a few minutes to settle. We always chat first, no one gets thrown straight into filming it’s better to break the ice and ease in gently. As many people will know who have filmed with me I have a famous question that I get started with…

4. Don’t script every word
The best moments happen when you speak naturally, yes bring some bullet points and have an idea - but let’s hear it from your heart first.

5. Remember it’s a conversation, not a performance. My job is to guide you and make you feel at ease, I want you at your most comfortable, so most of the time I will tell you to just have a chat with me. We can stop and start as much as you need.

And one thing I always say…
If you look good, I look good - I’m never going to leave in anything that doesn’t show you at your best.

We’re in it together.
Send me a DM if you’ve got any questions.
