A North Wales wedding rooted in family, place and personality.
Set on the bride’s family farm near Aber Falls, this was one of those days where everything just felt so them. Arriving at the chapel on the back of a tractor, to celebrating in a marquee in the very field the bride grew up around.
Between the rain showers, we dipped in and out for photos, with Toffee the dog making an appearance (and even Sparky the cow joining in 🐄), before the evening turned into a full-on party with over 200 guests.
A little bit wild, a little bit emotional, and completely unforgettable 🤍

Jess & Ellis 🤍
A beautifully calm, emotional day at Tyn Dŵr Hall, right in the heart of North Wales.
From the very start, there was such an easy, natural energy to everything. Jess wanted something clean, relaxed and candid and even with the rain quietly coming and going, we found those little pockets of time to step outside and make the most of it (honestly, it made those moments feel even more special).
One of my favourite parts of the day was during the ceremony. They shared their own vows, and Ellis spoke about how much he loves Jess’s smile… and she smiled at him the entire time. It was constant, natural and completely in the moment.
They’re both so easygoing and grounded, and just really good together. The type of couple who don’t need to force anything, it all just flows naturally. Surrounded by such a lovely group of people, beautiful florals, and so much warmth throughout the day, it all came together in such a genuine, relaxed way.
A proper joy to capture 🤍

Billie & Callum 🤍
Morning prep at Thornton Hall Hotel on the Wirral, with three bridesmaids… two of which honestly deserve their own booking as a comedy duo 😄 I don’t think I’ve laughed that much during prep in a long time, if I could have bottled up their one-liners, I would.
We then headed over to The Manor at Greasby, which really is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the Wirral. The ceremony room, the warm tones, the mix of old elegance with a modern feel, it’s such a lovely space to photograph in, and it suited Billie’s style perfectly (and her hair… unreal 🔥).
Billie and Callum are both quite quiet, gentle people, and their whole day reflected that, relaxed, thoughtful, surrounded by a really lovely, close family. We kept group photos minimal and then just let the rest of the day unfold naturally.
Drinks flowing, summer heat (in May 🙌), guests outside soaking it all in… and just a really calm, happy kind of atmosphere all day.
Honestly, just one of those weddings that’s a joy to be part of 🤍

A day that felt like them from start to finish
The morning started at The Municipal in Liverpool, with dresses being steamed, music playing, and a very unexpected (and very cute) guest, an 8 week old baby tucked into all the bridal prep.
There was a first look with the bride’s brother, her “man of honour”, which was such a lovely moment. He later joked in his speech about being relieved he didn’t have to wear a dress… while standing there in a kilt, which didn’t go unnoticed 😄
From there, it was onto Sefton Park Palm House, a venue they chose not just because it’s beautiful, but because it means something. A space cared for through charity, open for everyone to enjoy, something that really mattered to them.
The whole day had this mix of wild, joyful energy (very her) and a quieter, steady calm (very him). They just worked, in that easy, natural way.
With bagpipes welcoming everyone in, a little nod to family roots, and one of the most stunning settings Liverpool has to offer… it was such a good one to be part of 💛

Throwback to a gorgeous Iscoyd Park wedding.
Confetti absolutely everywhere, zero neat lines, and just going with it, exactly how it should be.
Swipe for the confetti chaos… and wait for the very best guest at the end 🐶🤍
If you’re getting married at Iscoyd Park and like your photos to feel relaxed, natural, and a bit unposed, you’ll probably fit right in here.

Some love stories don’t rush; they grow quietly over the years.
These two met 14 years ago, starting with messages on Facebook, long before wedding plans or four-legged friends were even thought of. There was a bit of graft involved early on (worth it, I’d say), and from there it turned into something really solid.
Fast forward to their wedding day at , and everything about it just felt right. Relaxed, easy, full of laughter, very much a reflection of them as a couple and the people around them (I photographed Liam’s sister’s wedding a few years ago, and honestly, the whole family are just so lovely to be around).
One of my favourite little moments of the day was meeting the couple's nephews- absolutely beautiful twin boys and such a special part of their story already.
Anna had a really clear creative vision too (photography degree perks), and told me she loved a bit of movement, a bit of blur… those in-between moments that don’t feel too perfect. We leaned into that, and it suited the day so well.
And then there was the dog 🐾 who completely stole the show at times: equal parts chaos and comedy, and 100% worth including.
Black tie style, soft summer light, a whole lot of genuine connection… exactly the kind of day I love being part of.

There’s something really special about stripping things right back.
No big timeline.
No pressure.
No long guest list.
Just a couple, a beautiful place, and a few quiet hours to get married exactly how they wanted.
This ceremony at Grade I listed in North Wales was the perfect example of how simple can still feel incredibly meaningful (and honestly… really beautiful to photograph too).
From that soft window light inside, to confetti in the doorway, to wandering through the gardens, it felt calm, personal, and completely them.
If you’re planning something a little more relaxed, a little more intimate… this is your reminder that it’s allowed to look like this. Marie Lloyd Photography

There’s something about this part of the day I always love…
just before everyone sits down, when everything feels calm, considered, and full of anticipation.
The soft candlelight, the details, the atmosphere.
This is exactly the kind of wedding I’m drawn to: relaxed, beautiful, and full of genuine moments.
If you’re planning a wedding that feels like you, I’d love to photograph it.

There’s always a moment before the day really begins.
When everything slows down for a second… and it all starts to feel real.
No pressure.
No posing.
No “what do I do with my hands?”
Just you, getting ready, in your own way.
Because most couples tell me they’re not “natural in front of the camera.”
They don’t want anything stiff or staged… but they still want photos that feel beautiful, effortless, and like them.
That’s exactly where I come in.
I’ll guide you gently when you need it, step back when you don’t, and capture everything in a way that feels relaxed, honest, and completely yours.
So you can just be in it,
and trust that it’s all being documented quietly in the background.

If you’re planning a wedding and want photography that feels natural, calm and unforced… I’d love to chat

There’s something really special about slowing things down. This moment was taken during a styled shoot at Sefton Park, soft light filtering through the trees, a quiet pause in the middle of a beautiful setup, and space for connection to just be.This is how I approach wedding days. Nothing forced, nothing rushed. Just gentle guidance, natural moments, and letting you be yourselves while I quietly tell the story. If you’re planning a relaxed wedding and want photos that feel timeless, honest, and full of atmosphere, this is exactly the kind of imagery I love to create.

Based in Wales & England, and always happy to chat about your plans.
