Tom McNally Wedding Photography Professional Lake District and destination wedding photographer. I am also happy to accept destinations further afield.

Based in the English Lake District I photograph weddings throughout Cumbria and the United Kingdom. I work in a predominantly documentary style, favouring an unobtrusive approach, focused on telling the story of your wedding day. A few more formal group photographs are also pre-arranged at your discretion. I find it is often the fleeting moments that are most memorable and I love capturing emotion

s of the bride, groom and guests enjoying the celebrations and spending time with one another. I always meet with clients to discuss the day in detail. If I have not worked there before, I also visit the venue and indeed the surrounding area before your wedding day. This allows me to find those unique locations that make for some truly special wedding photographs. If you have any questions at all I would be happy to hear from you.

I haven't posted on here for an age. Truth be told I have a love hate relationship with social media and with photography work ticking along nicely, I've not really needed to.

It would be remiss of me however not to share a few images from Carrig and Meg's wedding last weekend. This one was right up my street, or just up the road from me in fact, in the stunning Eden Valley. An intimate wedding, a super sound couple (many of the guests seemed to be friends of friends), an amazing landscape and beautiful light made for a genuinely lovely day. Some weddings my job just feels easy and this was certainly one of those.

I always love working at new venues for the fresh creative opportunities they present. It was my first time at yesterday and my word, this place made the job easy! An absolutely beautiful venue and just down the road from me in the Eden valley too. A big congratulations to Rory and Hatty, what an awesome day, it was a real pleasure to be part of it.

Here’s the second of my images that I’m really chuffed to have shortlisted in the wedding category of the 2023.

A huge thanks has to go to Amy and James for being keen enough for a shoot on the high fells after their wedding at the always awesome .

I think there is a public vote for the people’s choice award so if you happen to have a few minutes then a vote would be amazing (provided you reckon it’s good enough of course)! I’ve stuck a link in my bio.

I’ve been extremely pleased to find out that three of my images have been shortlisted in the 2023, two of which are in the wedding category.
