Another flight to top the day off yesterday (21st May) this time at sunset overlooking the Irish Sea and the breathtaking Fishguard Harbour! The campsite is the fabulous . The sunsets these last 3 days have been stunning, with lovely deep orange and red hues.
The coastline here is incredibly rugged but simply stunning and surrounded by green rolling hills. This place should be everyone's bucket list!

As it's been a while since I posted an actual drone picture, and seeing as this page is mostly about drones... I thought I'd better change that, so what better than to post a shot of the beautiful village of Angle in Pembrokeshire and in particular the . The visit was complete with an amazing lunch consisting of lobster rarebit on toasted focaccia and washed down with a pint of tasty Clwb Tropica whilst soaking up the sun and the amazing views!

This place is literally at the tip of West Wales, but it's well worth the perseverance of driving many miles of beautiful roads and tracks to get here! The owners here have really nailed it with their offering of great food, great location and the amazing .

RIAT 2023 - Aerial Refuelling, Rotor Wing and German Tonkas

The mighty American C130 from displaying an aerial refuel on the equally impressive CV-22 Osprey over the skies of Fairford. Next in line was the German Luftwaffe displaying their A400M in tanker configuration refuelling 2 x Tornadoes, and then the Tornadoes displaying the buddy refuelling method.

An awesome sight seeing the trusty mechanical Spanish AV-8B / Harrier alongside the technologically advanced Lockheed Martin F35B of the RAF in a joint display showcasing 45 years of R&D and how the type has changed. Truly impressive to see both side by side.

RIAT 2023 - Saturday 15th July 23

A selection of fast jets captured at RIAT this year; ranging from the mighty F-16 of the Belgian Air Component, the Dassult of the Armee De L'Air and the Saab. All taken whilst dodging the torrential rain showers and gusting winds there was the occasional patch of blue sky to be seen.

A rare selfie and one that I'm actually rather proud of! Feeling nicely relaxed sat soaking up the rays in a field in Herefordshire. It's great to take time away from the rat race and to stop and get off the world for a bit.
Here's looking forward to getting my military jet fix at an awesome weekend at this weekend, followed by more of relaxing next week.

Day 2 Devon & Cornwall roadtrip - Another amazing day on route from Devon to Cornwall starting with a trip to the Brownstone Battery overlooking the Dart Estuary, passing the Daymark navigational aid, followed up with a visit to the stunning National Trust house and gardens at Coleton Fishacre and then a short hop across the River Dart on the lower car ferry. Then to top it off a 3hr journey to Boscastle.

The curious Chaffinch. This little guy was darting around the forest at Pant-y-Rhiw on the trackbed of the former Brecon & Merthyr Junction railway. There was a wide variety of blue tit and Robin flying around too.
