Hi all, hope you’re doing great and looking forward to a good year ahead.

I have switched camera systems completely to Sony, after selling my last Nikon camera not too long ago. Comparing the autofocus system against the Nikon was night and day, so much more accurate and advanced, it sold me completely.

The range of lenses available for Sony’s E Mount is also amazing, including 3rd party lenses form Tamron, Sigma, Viltrox etc. There’s a lens for every price point and budget!

So, I have a few weddings to do this year, after spending the last few years giving most of my work away, but no more! I plan to spend 2026 building up the business, and getting back to doing what I love. If life has taught me anything over the past 5 years…….it’s to damn-well live it!

I also have a fully kitted out podcast studio which I plan to get used, something which I’ll share across my YouTube channels.

Hey folks, hope you’re all doing great. I thought I’d pop a post up to say I’ve no idea what I’m going to do with this page, as since Sarah taking ill, I’ve not really done anything media related. I have other projects up my sleeve, so you may see changes coming soon.

Just been reminded it’s 298 days since I posted anything on here!! It’s been a helish few years, with devastating changes to my life. Hopefully some time in the not-too-distant future I’ll get back to some photography and drone work, maybe even get back to doing some weddings :)

In the meantime just thought I’d say hello, hope you are well and (hopefully) watch this space :)

PS, I have made a new YouTube channel called Riding Through Grief, which will document my coming journey over the years learning to cope with loss, while fulfilling my wife’s bucket list of places to visit.

I went to my local printer shop to get some A3 & A2 prints done, they looked good, but different from what I expected. This led me to question my monitor set up and colour management etc, but after checking I was fairly convinced that I was editing with decent colour accuracy.

I’ve taken the plunge of purchasing a Canon professional printer, and I’m astounded at the results. Using Canon’s pro platinum and luster paper, turns out the prints are far superior to what the shop gave me, and match what I see on my monitor in terms of colour reproduction. To say I’m happy with the quality would be an understatement, now when I sell I can do everything myself, and guarantee I will get consistent results. Happy days.

If there’s any local photographers wanted to see the quality and have your own prints done, send me a message. Can currently do up to A3+ and a choice of paper, and will be cheaper than going to a ‘specialist’ printer shop.

I wanted to support my local shop, but they are expensive, and when I’m getting superior result with my own (admittedly expensive initial outlay) printer, then why should I pay over the odds for an inferior product. They are no doubt amazing for everything else print related, but for gallery-quality prints - I’ll do them myself.

Took these today in Lytham St Annes. Unfortunately I didn't have a long lens, so these are taken with an 85mm prime and cropped.

Got a 180-600 coning soon when it's released next month for the Nikon Z mount, can't wait.
