Okay so full disclaimer that no one has sent me this picture nor were any clients blocked (apart from those creeps with no photos & just following female photographers 👋🏻 byyeeee).. but .ink made this reel for her amazing business & I had to recreate for mine!

There is a bit of truth in it though & it’s pretty simple..

If you’re looking for photos of everyone looking & smiling at the camera, with zero personality, in a studio.. I am absolutely not the photographer for you.

However if you’re looking for a fun evening out exploring & making memories with your family & getting photos that capture the connection, love & complete essence of your family.. then I might just be the photographer for you!

Summer & early autumn weekend dates are very few & far between, but I still have some mid-week golden hour sessions available. From October onwards I have availability for family, maternity, newborn, breastfeeding & milestone photography across Oxfordshire, Warwickshire & Northamptonshire.

And remember.. you don’t need a special occasion to capture memories & actually be in the frame for once with your family. If you ask me, just being alive & having all your favourite people still here is bloody special enough.. take it from me 🤍📷

It has felt like a lifetime since this incredible morning - photographing my first ever birth.. well almost!

Soooo.. I actually missed the birth by not long at all as things went from 0-100 in the blink of an eye - even one of the midwives missed it!

But wow! What an experience to witness the immediate few hours post birth in the comfort of their own home. So much skin to skin with both mum & dad, the first feed, & mum’s first feed (jelly courtesy of their amazing doula), baby being weighed & measured, all whilst their first baby, now a toddler, was still asleep in bed!

The whole house was filled with so much peace, calmness & love.. & it was genuinely even more incredible than I could have imagined. Of course I am absolutely gutted that I missed the actual labour & birth, but I will forever be grateful for this amazing family for giving me this opportunity & trusting me with the most precious, vulnerable but empowering moments in their lives.

I really want to shout out the family’s amazing doula Fiona - if you’re in Northamptonshire & expecting & looking for a calm, knowledgeable & compassionate doula or birth support, look no further! I also can’t believe I go on call for my second birth (another home birth) very soon!

So.. if you’re newly pregnant & have always wanted to make sure you have beautiful, real & raw photos of your birth that you can look back on.. send me a message! I currently have space for births at the end of January & any time in February 2027! 🤍📷

I’ve always been obsessed with photos & understood the importance of making sure to be infront of the camera with your favourite people..

But there’s nothing quite like losing your mum & then brother-in-law exactly a month later, to make you realise that apart from memories, photographs & videos really are the only way to see our loved ones again once they’re no longer on this earth.

I’ve had a really tough last few days for no reason other than I just desperately miss my mum & NEEDED to see her.. but the feeling of having to scroll through my phone instead of being able to walk 15 minutes to see her face, just hit me like a train.

It’s not a new feeling or a surprise, but for some reason it really hit me & I immediately made this reel.

So please.. if you’re lucky enough to still have either of parents, children or other precious people in your life, take it from me.. you will NEVER regret getting the photos together, but you absolutely will regret not having them.

Because none of us truly know how long we have left with the people that mean the most to us. It’s not nice to think about, but it’s true & I’m afraid I’m never going to stop banging on about it.

I had the pleasure of photographing inaugural wine tasting event last Thursday & what a fabulous evening it was! 🍷

The setting was just perfect at .stays beautiful new barn. The food & wine were delicious, the atmosphere was light, fun & so welcoming.. & it really was so special to see how a group of total strangers came together so effortlessly they looked liked they’d known each other for years. I already can’t wait for the next one!

I don’t think as humans we ever really outgrow the need to feel safe with someone.

Maybe that’s why there’s something so emotional about watching a newborn fall asleep in their mum’s arms.

The complete surrender of it.. the weight of them relaxing into you.. their tiny fingers uncurling.. the little sigh before they drift off properly. One day it’ll happen for the last time & you won’t even realise it was the last.

That’s why I photograph moments like this exactly as they are - not perfectly posed, not forced, just the feeling of loving someone so much it physically hurts a bit.

And years from now, I don’t think you’ll care whether the house was tidy or whether you’d slept properly that week. You’ll care that this memory existed & that you asked someone you trusted to preserve it for you.

If you’re due this summer or autumn & this is a moment you want to remember exactly as it feels right now, I’d love to be the one you trust to capture it for you. I still have a few spaces left, so please don’t wait! 🤍📷

I’m so excited to be sharing these first pictures from this incredible special maternity shoot with the most beautiful sisters! ✨

The flowers, the golden sunlight, the fun & love between sisters who are best friends.. both with gorgeous boy bumps but two completely different personalities!

I can only imagine how incredible it must be to go through pregnancy at the same time as your sister. To have someone that knows your better then anyone going through the same thing as you at the same time is pretty damn special. And so was this shoot! I genuinely didn’t stop laughing & smiling the entire time 🥹

I may have had to talk one of the sisters into the shoot as she said continuously that she was awkward & not photogenic but I think anyone with eyes can see how wrong she was & luckily she believed me in the end! 😅

Maternity photos don’t just have to be of you & your partner or family.. they can be with a friend, just on your own or even your sister! Whoever you decide to bring with you, PLEASE just make sure you get them taken.. I promise you won’t regret getting them but you will regret not getting them! 🤍📷

I feel like I always bang on that you really don’t need a huge perfect show home with every room being ‘photo ready’..

For this newborn session we got lots of gorgeous shots in this family’s living room but wanted a change of light & vibe so headed up to the nursery. This room had beautiful natural light but wasn’t completely finished.. because let’s be honest it’s so long until they’re even sleeping there (or never in our case ahaha) so who’s ever is?

All I did was move a bookcase out of the way & put the chair in the corner of this room & these are a few of the photos we got from it. Proof that all it takes is just a little pocket of space, a window & a photographer that understands how to not only get the best from the space, but from you too.

Has worrying that your house isn’t perfect or big enough for photos been a reason you’ve put off booking a shoot? 🤍📷

P.s can we take a moment for this amazing jumper & short set thats in my newborn wardrobe.. just the cutest & SO soft 🥹
