I got distracted having my breakfast yesterday because I spotted this little one in the process of hatching!

🐉🪰

It wasn't the only one either, as I found two other husks in the grass nearby. I'm amazed that it managed to crawl multiple feet from my little pond to find a good spot. I eventually saw it fly off, narrowly avoiding an inquisitive sparrow!
