After 10 incredible years, I’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to close this chapter and step away from my newborn photography business.
It’s hard to put into words what these last 10 years have meant to me.
What started as a love for photography became something so much deeper, a chance to witness and capture some of the most precious moments in people’s lives. I’ve had the privilege of meeting your tiny newborn babies, watching them grow into toddlers, then big brothers and sisters and seeing families return to me again and again through every new chapter. That trust is something I will never, ever take for granted.
To every family who welcomed me into their lives during such a special and vulnerable time, thank you. Thank you for trusting me with your babies, your memories and moments that can never be recreated. Thank you for supporting my small business, recommending me to friends, following my journey and allowing me to do a job that truly meant so much to me.
There is something so special about photographing a brand new life and I will miss it more than I can say. I’ll miss the tiny fingers and sleepy cuddles, the proud older siblings, the conversations with exhausted but happy parents and the honour of freezing those precious moments in time before they changed forever.
This business has given me so much joy, purpose and connection over the years and a huge piece of my heart will always belong to it.
But after a lot of thought, I know it’s time for me to focus on a different chapter in my own life.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your stories over the last decade. It has truly been the greatest privilege.
