There is literally no other job I would rather do 😍 during a recent newborn shoot mum said a photographer they had used in the past rushed their entire session in around 40 minutes! She shouldn't have been shocked at my patience and perseverance when it comes to newborns and toddlers. But I am TOTALLY baby led, even if that means on the very rare occasion I return to complete our session. Babies are sick, babies can be unsettled, babies can take an hour or more to get into a peaceful sleep, babies can and do suddenly need 826161 feeds at the most inconvenient times 😅 but I'm here for all of that. I love babies and children, that's why I have done this for over 11 years and hopefully my love for it shows throughout and beyond our session 🤍

But no one said there COULDN'T be a candy bracelet hanging out of her mouth... 🤭

I often get asked "how much" I edit newborn sessions so I thought I'd post a pretty vulnerable series of SOOC. Things I will edit - temporary flaws (newborn spots, scratches, dry milk) colour correction, whitening whites, enhancing texture that is already there. I don't smooth my babies' skin, I don't remove birth/stork marks & I will always ask how edited parents would like to be in family shots.

You want to look back on your newborn photos and see them for how they really were so with that always in mind, this is "how much" I edit!
