Good evening everyone!

Here’s something a little different for you tonight…

This is a panosphere 360° shot taken from 120 metres (400ft) above Stamford on Sunday, giving you a completely different perspective of this beautiful historic town.

From up there, you really get to appreciate just how much of Stamford you can see — and some of the landmarks look completely different from the air!

But I want to know what YOU can spot…

STAMFORD FROM A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE!

Yesterday, while I was at the Stamford Round Table Classic Car Show on The Meadows, I had the perfect opportunity to take to the skies and capture something a little different.

The cars were the main attraction… but once I had the drone up, I couldn’t resist showing off the incredible views of Stamford from above!

From historic churches and iconic landmarks to Stamford Bridge and even a glimpse across part of the Burghley House grounds from a distance, these photographs really show just how beautiful Stamford looks from the air.

Sometimes you can live, work or visit somewhere for years and never truly appreciate what’s right on your doorstep until you see it from a completely different angle.

Following on from the Panosphere 360° shot earlier, I now present some of the pictures I captured from the Stamford Round Table 611 Classic Car Show on The Meadows in Stamford.

What a fantastic and well-run event this was! The atmosphere was brilliant, everyone was in high spirits, and there was a fantastic turnout of classic cars and visitors.

There were so many great cars to choose from, it was certainly a challenge deciding which ones to photograph from the air and from the ground!

I’d also like to say a very special thank you to RAF Wittering for allowing me to carry out my drone flight within their Flight Restriction Zone. Having the opportunity to capture an event like this from a completely different perspective is something I really appreciate.

Good evening everyone

I was just about to get into bed tonight when I noticed some flashing lights coming from the west. At first I wasn't sure what I was seeing, then I realised it was lightning!

So, naturally, I thought… let's get the drone up and see if we can capture some of it!

It’s not every night you get the chance to film a thunderstorm from above, so I couldn't resist having a go.

Did anyone else in Oakham or around Rutland see the lightning tonight?

Did you hear any thunder where you are, or did you just get to see the flashes in the distance?

Good afternoon everyone!

Today I took the drone over to Pillings Road in Oakham to capture a few shots from above and get a different perspective of the area.

Pillings Road is home to a great mix of local businesses, from builders' merchants and garages to various other businesses that keep the local area moving.

But if I had to pick a favourite, it has to be Fillings Road Cafe. Their breakfasts are excellent, and the filled rolls are definitely worth trying!

Have you been to Fillings Road Cafe before? What’s your go-to order? And are there any other businesses on Pillings Road that you think deserve a mention?

Good afternoon everyone!

A nice day off with the Mrs today, and we’ve headed over to Donington Park to watch the British Touring Car Championship.

I have to say, I’m seriously impressed with how organised everything is. From getting people in and around the circuit to the atmosphere throughout the day, everything seems to run like clockwork.

And the atmosphere is brilliant! Everyone is in such high spirits, making for a fantastic day out.

Has anyone else spotted the hot air balloon over Oakham this evening?

I was looking up and noticed a hot air balloon making its way across the Oakham skyline. It certainly makes for a rather different view!

Good evening everyone!

Tonight I popped up to the Greetham Gathering with hopes that the weather would hold off, and thankfully it held off just enough for me to capture a few aerial shots.

The wind at ground level was fine, but once I got the drone up around 60 metres, it was a completely different story. The wind was a little too rough for my liking, so I made the sensible decision to bring the drone back down. I’d much rather put safety first than risk the drone or, more importantly, put anyone on the ground at risk.

Hopefully the weather is kinder for the next Greetham Gathering and I can get some more aerial shots for you all!
