Good evening, everyone.

Far too windy for the drone tonight, so I’ve got the Osmo out instead.

I’ve spotted that the tree at the end of Chestnut Road has lost a sizeable trunk. The fire brigade are on scene and the area has been taped off.

Please take care if you’re out and about in the area, especially with the strong winds we’re experiencing.

Something was happening in the grounds of Oakham Castle today… but what was it?

Good afternoon, everyone!

While I was out and about today, I noticed something happening in the grounds of Oakham Castle. I wasn't quite sure what was going on, so I sent the drone up to capture a few photographs and see what the event looked like from above.

It turns out it was the Rutland Pet Festival!

I didn't go into the event itself, so I can't tell you exactly how it went, but from the aerial photographs there appeared to be a fairly small turnout.

As The Rutland Drone Guy, I love capturing what's happening around Rutland and showing our local places and events from a completely different perspective.

Good evening everyone!

You loved my last nighttime panosphere 360° shot of Oakham, so here’s another one!

This time, we’re looking at Oakham town centre from the western side, capturing the town from a completely different perspective after dark.

There’s something special about seeing our local towns at night, with the lights bringing familiar streets and landmarks to life.

Good afternoon, Rutland!

Oakham All Saints’ Church after dark — a beautiful landmark with a completely different atmosphere by night.

Today, I’m bringing you a nighttime view of one of Oakham’s most recognisable landmarks, captured from above by drone.

There’s something special about seeing familiar places in a different light, and Oakham’s historic church is no exception.

OAKHAM AFTER DARK… FROM 90 METRES UP!

Capturing Oakham town centre at night turned out to be quite the challenge! Gusty winds made this one a real test of patience, but after five attempts and dropping to 90 metres, I finally got the shot!

The result? A stunning 360° drone panosphere showcasing Oakham in a whole new light.

Take a look around, explore the view, and see if you can spot any familiar landmarks!

Good afternoon everyone!

Today, The Rutland Drone Guy headed over to the Melton Mowbray Food Festival, hosted at Melton Mowbray Cattle Market, to capture the event from both the air and the ground.

There was a fantastic variety of food and drink on offer, with loads of different stalls to explore, delicious treats to discover and even places catering for our four-legged friends!

Seeing events from a different perspective is what The Rutland Drone Guy is all about! Alongside the views captured from above, I've also taken photos on the ground to bring you closer to the atmosphere, the stalls and everything that makes this local event special.

From aerial photography that gives you the bigger picture to ground-level shots that capture the finer details, it's all about showcasing our local communities, events and attractions in a unique way.

A big shout-out to everyone involved in organising the festival and to all the traders who brought their fantastic food and drink along.
