I spent a lovely week in the Warwickshire countryside with an amazing bunch of craftspeople! Another event organised by Whitacre Bespoke Carpentry “centering the past” reconstructing framework for medieval vaults. Their amazing work will be on display in Chester cathedral soon.
After a week of hard work the last piece was fitted in place and nature shined its golden beauty upon on the frame. It was a beautiful sight.
Hunslet The Bear made an appearance and got sawdust in his fur. (post 1 of 2)

When you turn up to the centering the past event to find David Wilson is missing! What’s a girl to do all day? This poor beam and lonely axe needs Dave’s loving touch.
This disappointed photographer might have to go on strike till he arrives!

I was lucky to be invited to a day of hewing organised by Whitacre Bespoke Carpentry. After a late finish and a quick Look at my camera these are a few of my favourites from the day. Back tommorrow to enjoy another day.
