Two of the loveliest, most down-to-earth people, with a day that was completely gorgeous from beginning to end.

Lydia is a huge animal lover, so of course they had to feature throughout the wedding — including on the table plan and, in the case of their gorgeous pooch, as a surprise ring bearer 🥹🧡

There was live music, plenty of drinks flowing, a band that had the dance floor full all evening… and a rodeo bull.

Something I’ve heard threatened at weddings many times, but never actually seen happen until now 😂 and Lydia absolutely nailed it! 🙌

Such a fun day for two genuinely lovely people, massive congratulations you guys!

Your wedding deserves to be experienced—not performed for the camera.

Of course, we’ll make time for the photographs you really want. A handful of family groups, a little wander together and portraits that still feel like you.

But for most of the day? You’ll be exactly where you should be: with your favourite people, soaking it all in.

And I’ll be quietly documenting the hugs, nerves, chaos, happy tears and tiny moments you didn’t even realise were happening.

Because the most meaningful weddings aren’t built around photographs.

They’re built around people, connection and moments you can’t plan. 🧡

Black tie glamour, champagne in hand and a full-blown battle against the British weather — Rachel & Peter’s wedding had all the elegance and chaos you could want.

The Woodlands Hotel in Leeds is always a gorgeous setting and everyone looked impossibly good! The drinks were flowing and the rain was doing its absolute best to disrupt the day. It didn’t stand a chance.

They’d had their hearts set on getting married outside and, when the rain decided to make an appearance, they basically said… we’re doing it anyway.

And I’m so glad they did. 🥹🧡

Umbrellas came out, the ceremony stayed outside and somehow they both still managed to look completely effortless while the British weather did its thing.

Then everyone headed inside for dinner, speeches and possibly one of my favourite additions to a wedding breakfast yet — a full blown game of bingo. 😂

Beautifully dressed people getting increasingly competitive over a bingo card? More of this at weddings please!

But mostly, Rachel & Peter were just an absolute joy. Relaxed, kind, completely wrapped up in their day and surrounded by people who clearly adore them.

Proof once again that you really don’t need perfect weather to have a bloody brilliant wedding. 🙌

Proof that even a suit in a heatwave can’t dampen the mood 😂☀️

Becky & Adam’s day at Highfield Hall in North Wales was an absolute scorcher — although Adam, somehow still smiling in his full suit, insisted “it’s really not that bad” all day. 😂

They had the most beautiful outdoor ceremony, with their children right at the heart of everything. Their little boy took his role as ring security very seriously, while their little girl was just adorable. 🥹

There were bubbles, garden games and plenty to keep the little ones entertained, but one of the sweetest moments was watching Becky & Adam ask two of their closest friends to become godparents to their child. Such a lovely thing to witness and exactly the kind of moment I love getting to capture.

A day full of family, sunshine, happy faces and a LOT of trying to find the shade. 😂

“We’re really awkward in photos.”

If I had a quid for every couple that told me this… 😂

Beth & Jack said they never really know what they’re supposed to do in front of a camera, which is exactly why a pre-wedding shoot can be such a lovely idea.

We wandered around Temple Newsam, chatted about their wedding, got to know each other a little better and took some photos along the way.

I gave them simple direction when they needed it, reassured them that yes, their kiss looked absolutely perfect 😂 and then selfishly dragged them into a greenhouse because the light was gorgeous and, quite frankly, I wanted to look at the plants. 🌿

Nothing complicated. No endless posing. No expectation that you should somehow already know what you’re doing.

And that’s really the point.

A pre-wedding shoot isn’t about learning how to be good at photos. It’s about getting comfortable with me, seeing how I work and realising that when your wedding comes around…

you really don’t need to think about the camera at all. 🧡

This is what happens when you forget about perfection and focus on having the best day ever…

Lydia & George’s wedding at Tithe Barn was full of everything that matters most—big smiles, emotional speeches, incredible views, a gorgeous VW camper, champagne pong, a packed dance floor and so many moments that couldn’t have been planned.

The whole day felt relaxed, joyful and completely them, and it was such a privilege to be there to capture it all.

One of the things couples tell me after their wedding is…

“It felt like having another friend there.”

And honestly, that’s one of the nicest compliments I could receive.

My job isn’t just to take beautiful photographs.

It’s to help you feel comfortable.

To notice the moments you might otherwise miss.

To gently guide you when you need it, and quietly step back when you don’t.

I want you to spend your wedding day with your favourite people, not wondering where to look or what to do.

Because the best photographs usually happen when you’re simply enjoying yourselves.

The best weddings aren’t always the loudest… they’re the ones that make you feel something.

Kate & Niall’s day was full of emotion, belly laughs and the kind of moments you couldn’t plan if you tried. Niall wasn’t afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve, and those are always some of my favourite weddings to photograph.

They were the loveliest couple to spend the day with, and Manor House was the perfect setting for such a relaxed, joyful celebration.

The photographs might be what first catches your eye…

But the experience is what stays with you.

When you’re choosing a wedding photographer, you’re choosing someone who’ll be by your side for one of the biggest days of your life.

Someone who’ll calm your nerves, blend into the background when it matters, gently guide you when you need it and notice the little moments you’ll treasure for years to come.

Choosing your venue is about so much more than finding somewhere that looks beautiful.

It’s about finding somewhere that feels like you.

Somewhere you can picture your favourite people all in one place.

Somewhere that makes you excited every time you drive through the gates.

That’s why I’m such a big fan of venue open days. They give you the chance to wander around, meet the team, chat to suppliers and imagine your day actually happening there.

Trust your gut. The right venue usually just feels right.
