With the new season fast approaching, it feels like the perfect time to look back at last season with Gedling Southbank FC Ladies ⚽🏆

As well as being part of the team myself, I had the chance to photograph our media day last season. I never got around to sharing the images at the time, so with a new season just around the corner, I thought now was the perfect opportunity to finally give them their moment.

Over the next few posts, I’ll be sharing a mix of the individual profile shots and photos of us together, looking back at the squad that went on to win the Division 2 league title.

Whilst some players were lost along the way and others came in to fill the gaps, the passion and determination these ladies showed right until the last kick of the ball and the final blow of the whistle is something to be incredibly proud of.

A little look back at a brilliant season before the next one begins. 📸

Another batch from the rugby shoot 🏉📸

Still working my way through the photos from the England Women’s Deaf Rugby vs Jamaica match, so here’s another bunch of my favourites I’ve edited this week.

Really looking forward to finishing the rest and sharing more from this shoot soon.

This was something completely new for me.

I picked up a new lens and decided to try something different, so I went along to photograph the England Women’s Deaf Rugby game against Jamaica. I’ve never shot sport before, so it was a bit of a learning curve, fast paced, unpredictable, and very different to what I’m used to.

But that’s what this page is about. Trying new things, learning as I go, and figuring it out along the way. These are a few moments from the game, exactly as they happened, and I’m really glad I gave it a go. I’ve got plenty more from this, but these are a few of my initial favourites.

I can’t wait to try it again and start learning how to predict the plays and capture the right moments 📸🏉

It’s time… this page finally has a name again.

Welcome to Where It Clicked Photography 📸

I’ve been quiet on here for a while, not because I stopped, but because I’ve been figuring things out behind the scenes. I’ve still been shooting, still learning, still experimenting, and working out what I actually want this space to be. There were definitely moments where I thought about giving it up, but something about this page never really felt finished, so instead of leaving it behind, I’ve decided to come back to it with purpose and build it into what it always deserved to be.

Where It Clicked feels like the right name for that. It’s about the point where things start to make sense, the trial and error, the learning, and the moments where something finally works and you realise you’re getting somewhere. Over that time, I’ve built up a mix of work I’m genuinely proud of, some new, some older work that never got shared, but all of it deserves a place here.

This is a fresh start, but also a continuation of everything that’s led up to it. This page is going to be a space for everything I create, the good, the not-so-perfect, and the progress in between. No overthinking it this time, just consistently getting work I’m proud of and actually sharing it.

The next chapter has finally started…
