Garden games came out mid-afternoon at Harvey & Dale's wedding at Thorpe Garden, and it wasn't just the kids who got involved😆

Moments like this are exactly why I love to work as a documentary wedding photographer - when couples trust you to document the day you can roam free and capture the day as it unfolds.

You can't stage a grown man in a suit getting talked into a space hopper race & getting knocked clean off it.

Charlotte was partway through her vows when Greg’s dad put his head down and reached up to wipe his eyes.

Tears from start to finish at this one. Before, during, and long after the ceremony.

I photographd this with Charlotte out of focus in front of me. Everyone was watching her say the words. I was watching his dad hear them.

Every guest unwrapped a book at their seat — favours doubling as place settings —with a personal message extra written inside. The note in Richard’s made me laugh and he couldn’t resist showing the table.

“Dear Richard, try not to be too disappointed, I’m off the market now.”

“Hi Richard, you’re safe now!! Lewis

Little details like this are what I’m looking for all day, even when nothing seems to be “happening.”

Charlotte & Greg’s wedding was such a beautiful day on Saturday 🥰

From the early morning jitters through the ceremony, which brought the tears, & the chilled out afternoon relaxing in the sun it was a lovely day. It was topped off an awesome party and we even managed to sneak out for a 10-minute walk at sunset to grab the last image 😍

As a documentary wedding photographer, I love to capture moments as they unfold naturally. And this wedding gave me so many moments to do so. I’m so pleased that Charlotte & Greg love the sneaky peek: “Thank you so much for the photos, they are all amazing!”

Congratulations Laura & Lewis’ 🤩

Saturday was such a beautiful wedding from the church ceremony in Laura’s childhood church, which was conducted by Lewis’ uncle, to the reception at the pub where they had their first date it was a lovely day!

It was a day filled with smiles, hugs, laughs and a few tears so there were plenty of moments to document 😍

What a super fun and beautiful (if rather scorching!) wedding this was!

Harvey & Dale got married at Thorpe Garden on Friday and from the moment they enquired, they described their plans as a relaxed, fun day ended with a rave and that is exactly how it turned out.

I’m so pleased Harvey & Dale love their photos: “The sneak peek photos you sent look amazing, we can’t wait to see the rest of them!”

As a documentary wedding photographer, my job is to document the day as it unfolds. With a beautiful outdoor ceremony led by a close friend, kids doing silly things on the garden games, delicious food, hilarious speeches and obviously a rave, there was so many moments to document and here are a few of my favourite shots.

I am super excited to have won my first ever award - a WPJA Artistic Guild Award!

I am always looking to see a slightly different perspective in my photography & pushing myself to improve my photography for my couples so winning this was awesome!

When photographing details, I always prefer to do so natural as they’re being used throughout the day. In this case someone grabbing a big handful of confetti just as the confetti shot was about to happen.
