Not your average guest book 👀✨

Guests spent the day building tiny LEGO versions of themselves, bowls of bricks, total concentration, everyone hunting for the right hair piece or the right coloured top, and adding themselves one by one into the scene (yes, I made one too, no I’m not sorry about it 😂).

And that scene? The actual venue, built entirely in LEGO by the bride herself. The teepee, the garden, the little details dotted everywhere, all made by hand, brick by brick. The talent is unreal.

By the end of the day it wasn’t just a guest book, it was basically a tiny, brick-built version of the wedding itself, built by everyone who was there.

More geeky, brilliant, completely-different guest books please 🚀

Bex & Alex’s wedding at The Old Vicarage in Elkesley was an absolute JOY from start to finish ❤️

Because why make a normal entrance when you can arrive on a bright blue TRACTOR driven by your best woman?! 🚜😂

Then there was their very important doggo ring bearer 🐶, an outdoor ceremony in the gorgeous grounds, an absolutely EPIC confetti moment and a day that somehow just kept getting better.

There were duck races in the stream. Complete with actual trophies because obviously this was SERIOUS BUSINESS 🦆🏆 followed by people ditching their shoes and splashing around in the water.

And then came the tug of war.

Across. The. Stream.

I think we all knew exactly where that was heading 😂💦

Add in brilliant speeches, gorgeous food, glitter, an amazing live band and a dance floor full of people having the BEST time, and you’ve pretty much got my idea of a blooming brilliant wedding.

Bex & Alex, thank you so much for having me along for such a fun, colourful and completely-you day. Your family and friends were an absolute blast and I loved every minute ❤️🚀

More tractor arrivals, competitive duck racing and weddings where somebody inevitably ends up in a stream, please.

Hattie & Jonny’s wedding was just so blooming THEM, and I loved every minute of it ❤️

They took the brilliant DIY venue that is Hargate Hall in Derbyshire and filled it with dragons, handmade details and loads of wonderfully personal little touches. The marquee looked absolutely gorgeous, and you could see how much love had gone into making the whole day feel completely their own 🐉

There was a beautiful ceremony, lots of laughter, brilliant speeches and one seriously EPIC explosion of Flutter Darlings confetti 🌈

Then came the garden games, shoes being abandoned left, right and centre, and Jonny casually throwing a frisbee between his legs while still holding a drink… so much dedication to the game, and I’m so here for it 😂

And after that, the ceilidh dancing…

Honestly, there is nothing quite like watching a room full of wedding guests fling themselves into a ceilidh with maximum enthusiasm. Hands everywhere, huge smiles and some very enthusiastic spinning 😂

Hattie & Jonny, thank you for such a joyful, wonderfully geeky and personality-packed day. More dragons at weddings, please 🚀🐉❤️

Well… Ellie and Will’s wedding was basically a full-blown festival with a wedding tucked brilliantly into the middle of it, and I loved every second 🎪✨

And who’d have thought this awesome woodland venue was hiding so close to London?! It felt like we’d been transported miles away into their own colourful festival world.

There were tents in the woods, glitter everywhere, incredible outfits, disco balls, wristbands, face painting, a bar in the trees and some of the most blooming brilliant guests you could ever hope to spend a day with.

The ceremony was led by Will’s very funny dad, which made it feel so personal, relaxed and completely them. There were big laughs, emotional moments and the kind of atmosphere that made everyone feel properly part of it.

Then there was Will’s EPIC homemade vegan lasagne, which absolutely deserves its own mention because feeding an entire wedding festival is no small task and it was genuinely delicious!

From the ceremony right through to the woodland party, the whole day was packed with colour, joy, huge hugs, excellent dance moves and people having the absolute best time.

Ellie and Will, you two are ridiculously cool. Thank you for letting me document your completely blooming brilliant WedFest ❤️🚀

A little bit of lovely news from planet Kirsty 🚀

I’ve had two images recognised by the WPJA and one of them received a gold award, which feels very, very special.

The gold image is exactly the kind of documentary moment I’m always looking for on a wedding day. A peg on a nose, hands everywhere, food being passed around, and everyone completely wrapped up in what’s happening.

Nothing staged. Nothing forced. Just real life unfolding in front of me for half a second.

The second image is much quieter. Little hands, rings, paperwork, nerves, and the start of something huge tucked into one frame.

Two totally different moments, but both full of the stuff I love most about photographing weddings.

The funny bits.
The soft bits.
The blink-and-you’ll-miss-it bits that make the story feel like yours.

Feeling very grateful, very happy, and very proud to have these recognised.

Big love to everyone else recognised too ❤️.

Eddie & Lucy at the always gorgeous Pipperly Walled Garden 🌿✨

What a blooming lovely day this was.

There was sunshine, confetti, ice cream, space hoppers, cat cameos and a whole lot of people having a properly brilliant time.

Pipperly looked gorgeous as always, all flowers, colour and lovely garden goodness, and Eddie & Lucy filled it with so many personal touches. Including loads of the garden games that Eddie made himself using his 3D printer, which is honestly such an excellent level of wedding geekery and I am fully here for it 🎯

Also, special shoutout to Lucy’s grandad for his brilliant impromptu speech, one of those proper lovely unexpected moments that makes everyone laugh, smile and go a bit mushy all at once.

Eddie & Lucy, your day was an absolute joy and I loved every minute ❤️🚀

Simon & Shona, you absolute legends 💖

What. A. Day.

Matlock Bath was showing off in the best way possible and honestly, what a stunning place for a wedding. Streets full of colour, gorgeous views, and then these two casually finding the most beautiful little car park grotto the day before like it was just waiting for them. Iconic behaviour, honestly.

Also, can we take a minute for Shona getting on the flamingo boat in her wedding dress?! LEGEND. No notes. 10/10 commitment to the joy.

There were so many gorgeous bits woven through the day, but the pegs in memory of Shona’s dad absolutely got me. Such a beautiful, personal way to have him there with everyone ❤️

A day full of colour, laughter, bubbles, flamingos, dance floor nonsense, and two people who are just blooming brilliant together.

Simon & Shona, thank you so much for having me along for the ride. I loved every minute 🚀✨

I WON MY FIRST FEARLESS AWARD!!! 😭🌈✨

I’m honestly absolutely buzzing to have one of my images recognised by Fearless Photographers. These awards are judged alongside some of the most ridiculously talented wedding photographers in the world, so to see my name pop up feels a bit surreal, very emotional, and VERY exciting.

I enter awards like this not because I think I’ve “made it”, but because they push me to keep growing, keep learning, and keep improving my craft. They make me look harder, try harder, and keep chasing those joyful, colourful, honest little slices of wedding magic.

And this image? Two gorgeous humans, sunshine, laughter, armfuls of flowers, and an explosion of rainbow confetti. Basically, my happy place in photo form 🌈

A massive congratulations to everyone else who won too! What an incredible bunch of images to be part of.

I’m off to do a little happy dance now. Possibly with a cup of tea. Definitely with a massive grin.

Rules? Optional.

Rainbow confetti? Absolutely essential. 🌈✨

Beth & Tom’s wedding day was proof that the best weddings happen when you stop worrying about what a wedding should look like and throw yourselves headfirst into everything that makes you happy 💜

An outdoor ceremony in the sunshine. Hand-picked flowers. Rainbow confetti EVERYWHERE. Giant space hoppers. Barefoot races across the lawn. Garden games. A purple suit that deserves its own round of applause. A dance floor packed with questionable moves and excellent vibes.

And honestly? It was brilliant.

Every part of the day felt completely and unapologetically them. No pressure. No pretending. Just their favourite people, loads of laughter and a whole lot of joy ❤️

There were happy tears, emotional speeches, guests launching themselves across the garden, a very committed confetti tunnel, and one guest who got so comfy they decided a mid-afternoon nap was the way forward 😂

This is exactly why I love weddings like this so much. When couples create a day that feels like them, the magic takes care of itself.

Congratulations, you lovely humans 🥹🚀💜

✨ Tom & Grace ✨

What a day this was 💛

A gorgeous ceremony, outdoor speeches in the sunshine, the most incredible weather and a BBQ that guests are probably still talking about 🤤🔥

Pipperly Walled Garden absolutely delivered as always, and I have to give a little shout-out to their brand new prep room. It’s such a fantastic addition to the venue and makes those wedding morning moments feel even more relaxed.

Throw in a dreamy golden hour, two lovely humans and a whole lot of laughter, and you’ve got a pretty perfect wedding day if you ask me ✨💛

Lots more to share from this gorgeous day but first this gorgeous golden hour!
