Okay, let’s talk weather.
When planning a wedding, the one thing that is completely out of anyone’s control is what the weather will decide to do. A tricky thing to navigate anywhere in the world, but especially in the UK. Yes you can opt for a summer date, have the weather app open at all times, bury a sausage the night before (honestly still to this day have no idea where that tradition originates from 🤣) but ultimately, what will be, will be.
I have done some of the rainiest weddings of my career in the middle of July and August and some of the sunniest in October and February - it is simply ✨unpredictable✨
What is in your control, however, is how you choose to feel about it.
The most memorable weddings - in my opinion at least - are not determined by if it was 25+ degrees and blue skies, but rather by how joy and laughter echoed from each room, how people travelled miles from all across the country (or even the world) to celebrate their friends, how the happiest tears were shed out of nothing but pure love for each other. Those are the important things. The weather is just background noise.
So yes, I of course always hope that sunshine and blue skies fill your day. But most of all, I hope that it is filled with so much love that even if it does rain, it is the last thing on your mind.
