Like many of us, we were friends with charles Charles Evans - Charles and I met via internet at first then met various meets, chatted every week….

Never got to meet his wife Kate….
Until today….

This was the highlight of the day for me, the hug ment the world, opened my heart with love…

Charles will never be forgotten.

Kate and I didn’t say much today as our hearts said it all.

Back in March I spent 3 weeks in Japan, part work and part tourist, great time as always, had a little Kei car, travelled around, got to a few race tracks, Fuji, did some miles, clocked up ¥¥¥¥ in tolls, got arrested!! But never managed to go to Odaiba to see the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam!!

However thanks to British Airways for cancelling the flight, I was given a choice of hotels, as soon as I saw one of the hotel choices was in Odaiba, instantly ticked the box!!

Was absolutely pelting it down with rain, soaked through, but that didn’t matter. Walked towards Diver City, and I got to see RX-0.

So after 9yrs or so, the RX-0 is now officially retired and is scheduled for dismantling.

My brothers and I was also lucky to see the previous full size RX-78-2 Gundam years ago that ocupied the same spot as RX-0.

Never have I welcomed a flight being cancelled.

Who's up for a leisurely drive up a hill next weekend?

Lovely little Cinquecento flying up the hill at Shere Hill Climb last year!! The event is well worth a visit, a huge variety of cars and bikes go up, something for all taste, last years highlight for me was the giant rubber duck 😃
