As the summer is coming to its end and we’re entering into September, I can already begin to feel the weather changing. Rainy school pick ups are back with the new term beginning, leading upto autumn and winter. We even got some lightening today!

I thought it was only right to mark the occasion with a few shots from one of my favourite summer sessions with the lovely who looks so stunning here with her bump!

I live for the summer months and the beautiful summer evenings with the sun shining, giving us all joy, warmth and comfort. I thought it was definitely time to get these on the feed! I can feel summer just looking at them. ✨

I feel very lucky to meet the little people that I get to photograph and hear all about the beginnings of their story. This smiley little one was such a joyful girl. To celebrate how far she’s come we included a few sentimental items from her time spent in the NICU, which made the photographs all the more meaningful. It was an absolute pleasure to photograph these moments for this lovely family. Keep smiling little one. 🩷

I'm very much aware that as a photographer I am often trusted with such special and intimate moments in people's lives. It's like having a little window into others most beautiful and honest moments and it's not something that l ever take lightly, to be temporarily allowed into your little circle to witness these special moments.

And I've been there, as a new mum, you're in this strange time in your life when you're feeling vulnerable and sleep deprived and lucky and in love with your tiny delicate baby, still healing physically, still sussing out what feeding looks like and most likely emotional, and in the midst of all of that, for you to place your trust in me for a few hours to be your cheerleader and your photographer is such a privilege.

So don't worry, l've been there, I get it. And we will get the most beautiful photos of you and your family in this magical messy time for you to look back at and remember just how precious it all was. ❤️

A special celebration for a very special girl. ✨

It’s always an honour to be asked to document your special moments from behind the camera. I’ve always been a bit of an observer, somebody that notices all the little moments and interactions between people, I think that comes with being a bit of an introvert. The unposed, natural photos often have my heart because they capture the real beauty of your relationships and the little ways of your children just being children. It’s all the little moments that seem little but aren’t little, they are magical. ✨

Summer evening shoots are always such a joy. There is something magical about them. Just spending time in the sun and soaking up the moment. It really is an opportunity to pause and take it all in. You’ll always be able to look back at this evening, when you stood in the sun, you and babe as one. And the daisies, I’m convinced they wanted to bloom for your little one. 🌼✨

Dreamy shoots in the evening sun are my favourite! ✨ This was such a beautiful maternity session. There’s nothing like a relaxed shoot in a gorgeous field with a glowing mama. 🌼 I can just feel the warmth on my skin looking at these photographs! Don’t you just love how pictures can transport you back to a specific time and place. What precious moments to remember. 🌼✨🌞

The energy you give, the work you do and the love that you give, it doesn’t go unnoticed. It literally creates and grows life, and continues to nourish them throughout their life.

When I became a mum for the first time, I had a new appreciation for all the mothers that came before, in awe of the women in my life that had done this, all they have given physically, emotionally and mentally.

This is one of the reasons I love shooting maternity session, because it’s a celebration of you, all of your hard work, all of the growing you have been doing. It’s you in all your glory as a mother and it’s a beautiful thing to take a moment and notice.

Something a little bit different from me today! A few months ago I had the absolute honour of photographing my brother and his lovely fiancée. It was a real privilege to take these for them and I felt it was only right to post them on their wedding day. Wishing them lots of love and happiness always. ❤️ x
