Today I shot my last session.

What a journey this has been!

Thank you to each and every one of you.

It’s time to embark upon the new chapter, the next phase of life, but I’ll be keeping my social media accounts open.

Even today I realise that as much as I’ll miss creating this art, what I’ll miss most is connection with mothers. Being able to provide some value in making them feel better, more at peace, less judged and all the other things beautiful people have said over the years.

So I don’t know what this space will look like yet, but it’ll be here with an open inbox for all of you who have found comfort in my space.

So, world mental health day and you’ll be staggered to know I have a lot to say on the topic 🤣

From maternal mental health to toxic masculinity, we live in a monumentally messed up world.

This goes back to the ‘realness’ of the world. The authentic-ness of your path through this life. The projection you put out into the world.

The way YOU make people feel.

The pressure of the modern world sets us up to fail. The competition between all of us breaks our souls.

Kindness.

Love.

Connection.

That’s a great place to start.

And hey, let’s try and learn from our mistakes, our own past, to raise a new generation who slightly less f**ked up than we are 🫶

I have been putting this off for a week or so because I simply haven’t known what to say….

Within the next few months, Beau Baby will be no more. By 2025, I will have closed.

Even writing that feels so….huge.

I have been so unbelievably lucky to have shared the past 10yrs with you all, and I’m so incredibly grateful to every single family who has chosen me to capture their personal celebrations and moments.

I’ve been privileged to have been a part of the early days in so many of your babies lives, celebrated countless birthdays and enjoyed all sorts of amazing experiences with you all.

I’m so fortunate to not be closing due to lack of business, it truly feels like such an honour. And those of you who are booked in, your bookings absolutely still stand and you’ll still get the absolute best of me.

It is simply time for me to step in to a new phase of life. My family need me in new ways and I have to be the best version of myself for them.

I wanted to give you all a few months notice so that anyone who wanted to get those last photos from me had a chance to do so.

I will be keeping this account open, but it will begin to take a different turn as these last few months pass. There will be a more generic motherhood feel to what I share. I have so many passions relating to motherhood and the mother load, and this will become a space where I share those.

So many tips, tricks and lessons I’ve learned in my own motherhood journey. From 3 kids under 5, to neurodiverse children, from sleep issue to schedule juggling…I’ve done a lot and have a lot to share.

I also have a new venture that I’m currently training for and that I am so excited to pursue in the new year.

So, it is with great sadness, enormous gratitude and a sprinkling of excitement that I prepare to say goodbye.

Babies LOVE to splash & play in my mini roll top....and they certainly do make cute photos!

For the people who feel ‘less than’.

This is my desk.

I run 2 successful businesses from this space.

I don’t have a big fancy office with a big fancy shooting space.

It’s certainly not ‘Instagram worthy’!

But I’m here today, showing up in your feed, with my average desk, to tell you that WHERE you work, or what that looks like does not define you, your worth as a photographer or your ability to SUCCEED 🙌

So adjust your head space, think about what you CAN do and go for it!
