I don’t know what you find at the back of your wardrobe, but mine is full of coats, out-of-season dresses, and Ghibli soot sprites. Sadly, no doorways to Narnia.

Luckily, last Sunday I bumped into a sartorial Mr Tumnus by a lamp post near Pottergate and he let me take his photo. Pleased to report there no witches, just graffiti.

I reminded myself last week why I stopped using my old Nikkor flash and bought better lights - batteries are always going to run out when you don’t have spares. Image one is softbox lit, image two is making the best of gritty subway lighting.

and I really love this one bush in Chapelfield Gardens. We headed straight for it yesterday and then remembered we’d been there two years ago doing the same thing (see slide 2). We are, if nothing else, consistent in our affections for the local shrubbery.

Channelling diluted pre-Ralph vibes in this image, especially that backdrop - reminds me of the rug in the Lady of Shallot’s boat, though there was much less lamenting and certainly no Lancelots around (just ginger tom cats).

I enjoyed having Andze in the studio - we talked about how good make-up makes you feel a million times more confident in front of the lens, something knows all about as a make-up artist. Looking forward to being on the end of her brushes one day:) 💄

Something a little different to the usual, inspired by a combination of and and rediscovering a tiny prism I bought in the ¥100 shop a few years back.

There’s lots that could have been better here (including swapping out my Rogue grid modifier for a snoot in future iterations, but it’s a good start, I think.

Thanks to for her patience and for bringing the vibes when I told her to imagine she’s posing for the front cover of her synthwave record.
