I had a go at photographing frogs last mating season but didn’t quite have the reach with my 60mm so was excited to get out and photograph them again this year 💚

Came across these on an old rotting log!

(Early stages) This slime mold starts out as little white clustered caviar then starts extending upwards, growing quickly into the extended tubes with spindly feet anchored to the substrate. Over 24-48 hours this turns a deep purple then brown as the spores mature into a dusty brown pom pom.
What a great find!

A recent frosty walk around , everything looked beautiful! One of the only frosty days we seem to have had so far. As much as I dislike the cold I really enjoyed being out and photographing in this weather! 🌨️
