Super excited and proud to have my garden featured by the Bumblebee Conservation Trust including my photos. See below for a link to the blog post that I wrote for them about creating my wildlife garden which was inspired by all the wonderful work being done by this fantastic organisation. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿž๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿธ๐Ÿฆ‡๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›

โ€œThe garden was little more than a field with a couple of small borders and no bee-friendly plants. Having seen the difference that habitat creation could make to nature, I set about designing a garden to attract as much wildlife as possible โ€ฆ Not finding any landscaping companies that could carry out my vision, I began to create the garden myself.โ€

Bumblebee Conservation Trust member Emma England transformed the blank canvas of her new garden into a haven for wildlife.

Over the course of a couple of years, Emma introduced garden features essential for wildlife, including a pond, raised beds for homegrown vegetables, and cosy spaces for birds, bugs and hedgehogs.

Emma also planted over 3,000 perennials, shrubs and trees. In the process she learned more about bumblebee behaviour and discovered a variety of plants best loved by bumblebees.

Emma shares her gardening journey and her top bumblebee-friendly plants in our latest blog: https://ow.ly/letr50XAyHQ

Just wanted to show everyone the amazing job that Rambling Artist did on a commissioned painting that will be a Christmas present for my husband.
I have been aware of Sharon's excellent artwork for a while and had the pleasure of meeting her on Gary Jones Wildlife Photography's Osprey Adventure in the Cairngorms. We had such an awesome time on this holiday seeing ospreys in the wild thanks to Gary's knowledge of the area and skill as a photographer. When we got home I had the idea to commission Sharon to paint a pair of ospreys on a map of the area where we enjoyed many great moments seeing ospreys fishing and watching them on their nests feeding young. My husband had wanted to see an osprey in the wild in the UK his whole life so it was a dream come true. He will be so thrilled with this wonderful painting which features a perched osprey and an osprey with its catch based on Gary's stunning photographs. I'm so excited about this and it is a challenge to keep it a secret until Christmas ๐Ÿ˜…
Thanks again Rambling Artist and Gary Jones Wildlife Photography. Check out the pages for these talented people! ๐Ÿ˜€

Couldn't agree more with Gary. I hope that my photography inspires people to appreciate the beauty of the planet and protect its precious wildlife.

World Photography Day

As a wildlife photographer, for me itโ€™s the best job in the world, this day is important because it celebrates the deeper purpose behind my work.

Wildlife photographers donโ€™t just take beautiful picturesโ€”they create powerful visual stories that highlight endangered species, fragile ecosystems, and the urgent need for conservation. Their images often spark conversations and inspire action.

Many people may never see a Tiger, Elephant, Eagle, or a whale in person. Wildlife photographers bridge that gap by bringing these creatures into homes, schools, and media worldwideโ€”fostering empathy and appreciation.

On a day dedicated to photography, itโ€™s a reminder that wildlife imagery is not just art but also a celebration of lifeโ€™s diversityโ€”and a call to preserve it.

In short: For wildlife photographers, World Photography Day reinforces their role as storytellers, educators, and advocates for the natural world.

Check out the stunning artwork of the very talented Rambling Artist ๐Ÿ˜.

Gary took a visit to Troup Head yesterday to photograph the gannet colony there. Gannets are up there with one of my favourite birds. Here are some studies of them from a previous visit to Bempton Cliffs on the East Yorkshire coast. Hope you like them.

We had an awesome time at Gauntlet Birds of Prey, Eagle & Vulture Park, KnutsfordGauntlet Birds of Prey, Eagle & Vulture Park, Knutsford yesterday. I was really surprised and absolutely delighted that my female goshawk image won the photography contest. The day was excellent with so many birds to see and the flying displays were superb. Such a great centre and the work that they do for vulture conservation is amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our day. Thanks so much Gauntlet Birds of Prey, Eagle & Vulture Park, Knutsford for all the work and to Gary Jones Wildlife Photography for his excellent tuition and workshops. They are both highly recommended! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜

I am pleased to be exhibiting several images in this exhibition. It's really worth a visit to see all the images.
