I don't actually take photos every day. Here is a glimpse of my day when I am not taking photos. (Spoiler alert, it's mostly emails!)

I know I am biased but, photography runs through every part of your business.

In order to share photos, you need to make photos, in order to make photos you need to really understand your brand. Sometimes you start to try and make some imagery for your website or socials and then suddenly you are surrounded by Vision boards and wondering what your business even does!

Good photography is connected and fuelled by everything you do. You know that fellow business you follow who gets a like from you every time you see their post - Yes! They understand their brand and the photography, the message and what they do is all connected :)

You don't have to do this alone. This is one of the things we can work on in one-to-one photography support. This can be done online, in my studio, or in your location! They are flexible, responsive to your needs and can cover everything from looking at your visual brand, to the technical, to building confidence and much more.

I have spaces available right now so get in contact to book your free 30 minute consultation call :D I am excited to chat things through! Let's make it so photography is something you don't need to think about.

Imagine starting an Instagram post and just knowing which photo you wanted to pop on, AND having it ready to go.

Or imagine launching a new product/service and knowing how to create the imagery you need.

Let's take the first step towards that together.

The February free workshop is my business photography for beginners session. I have run it a few times but it essentially takes you through the process I use when I work with clients or when I have to create imagery for my business. From idea through to putting it out into the world. With lots of hands on time to try out stuff and time to ask questions. It's limited to a small group to ensure everyone has the space they need. No need to have a camera, we will be focused on using a phone camera (because the best camera is the one you have with you!) but feel free to bring a camera if you have one.

There are only 5 spaces left so drop me a DM or email if you interested in coming along and I'll book you in and send over the details.

There is a free workshop every month to help you problem solve your photos and how they tell your story. Check out the full list of workshops on my website.

I am so excited to work with you.

I love taking photos (obviously!) but something you may not know is that the main thing I have done throughout my career is facilitate workshops. All sorts of workshops across many creative disciplines. And so I am really happy to put a spotlight on the other 50% of my business: Photography Support.

Free Workshops, Bespoke workshops, Mindful Photography, one to one support and a rejuvenated mailing list: Click Notes.

Scroll on for more information about each of these things. I love working with groups of people and sharing my expertise and passion for photography. I can't wait to do more across this year. DM me or email me if you want more info :)

Thank you.

Thank you to everyone I have met, worked with, learnt from and has shared their story with me.

My return from mat leave wasn't easy (not convinced it ever is!) I was failed by some really big systems and it was tough. When I came back to work I knew I was craving something different. I tried a lot of things and then realised I wanted to hone in on my experience of photography. Time to Be was born.

2025 has been the year of my first artist residency. My photos being featured in magazines for the first time. A big pot of funding to figure out my voice as a photographic artist. It's been the year of community for me where I have been brave enough to rely on, and relax into the many communities we have here in Norfolk for small businesses. AND I have my gorgeous little studio. I am so proud and I know the woman who was scared of going back to work a year and a half ago would have been in awe of where we are now.

This first year of my business has been more magic than I ever could have hoped. I am feeling so warm, held, supported and it's amazing. Thank you to you all. I hope you have a restful festive season and I can't wait to see what 2026 will bring.

These were all photos taken on my phone before I attended the .biz networking session today in Cromer. I wanted to see what kind of different shots I could get as a fun creative exercise.

The sky was perfect today for this, because, no word of a lie, the third image in which I seem to have half a blue sky half a moody sky was genuinely what was there.

So I made the most of it and decided to get a moody one, more of an Autumnal bright one and then get the two sides next to each other so that's what I did.

This type of exercise is a really good thing to try if you are just getting started (or even if you are a seasoned pro). As we can't always plan our photos, more often than not we are taking photos on the go as the day unfolds. But just because it's spontaneous, doesn't mean it can't be intentional. This is a great exercise to practice responding to and capturing what is around you and where that photo may be useful.

You can find out more about getting intentional with your messaging and photos at the event is holding this weekend where I am working once more with the aforementioned wonderful Coastal Media! Hop to the feel good Instagram page for more info :) it's amazing value and is all focused on how we can look after ourselves and our businesses.

So excited to be running my Business Photography for Beginners session with :D
It's such a simple, but powerful session that puts the camera in the hands of businesses and shows them it's possible to get started taking their own photos.

There is a time and a place for a photographer (of course! Otherwise I would do myself out of the job!) but you are in your business everyday and there are opportunities to visually communicate what you do all the time. Learn how to grab them and build your visual database sustainably so that you never have to wonder what photo to share on a post again.

This session is open to anyone running or working in a social enterprise active in Norwich ☺️ I can't wait!

So delighted to share my new and improved website (with a nearly up to date portfolio!)

I worked with Lauren from .joy_ who absolutely smashed it. I wanted someone to help me with the text & design on my website to de-waffle it, make it more precise and easy to navigate without losing a sense of "my voice" and she did a fantastic job along with making sure the basic structure of how folks move around the website made more sense. I am so pleased! Would highly recommend working with her.

She also helped me by putting together some templates for socials and so look forward to my slice of the internet looking a bit more put together and how I have always been trying to get it to look.

This project was supported by Norfolk County Council through the Go Digital scheme.

3 years ago today we got as many of our fave folks as we could into a room and got married :)

Thanks for being the best partner and my sounding board when I have new ideas for my business and for knowing me so well you can be the compass I need to navigate it all.

Thanks for making me laugh every day.

Here's to all the partners that keep small business dreams and innovations alive.

I am enjoying the magic of light right now so much. It's taken a lot of practice to get to know how to make the best of what I see in front of me. Or how to interpret it in interesting ways with all the camera settings.

This beautiful window at made me stop in my tracks that day. It was just the most stunning early evening light. And then we had a shared, delicious dinner around a table together. Mostly with folks I had just met on the job that day. And it was the best. Highly recommend a visit to the yoga studio to enjoy the space that the team have made.

Want to learn how to interpret what the world lends through your lense? Get in contact about my photography support sessions :)

Time to chat about the other half of the job.

Editing is one of my favourite things in the world. It's my chance to enhance, pick out the important details, get creative and sometimes to fix something that went wrong (so many things contribute to a photo, we can't rely on all of them being exactly what we intended for every shot!)

Sometimes an edit just includes tweaking some colours so that they reflect more accurately what was there on the day. Sometimes I am getting creative and chucking everything has at it. But something that is always true? Editing is half the job! It takes time, thought and intention to ensure my client gets the right mix of images you need to tell your story.

So if you are getting started taking your own photos for your business and feel like you need to edit every single one? Me too! Editing is another subject we can cover during my photography support sessions.

Part of my funding from includes some times learning more about my editing software and everything it can do and the workflows it has. I am so excited for what those changes mean for my work as an artist and my work with businesses.
