SPA, the Student Publication Association is a UK registered charity which supports over 230 student publications with training, censorship advocacy, etc.

Alongside some truly bright young things, I recently enjoyed a weekend of engaging workshops and talks from well-known journalists and presenters at SPANC 2026, their National Conference, at the UEA.

From listening to Maryam Moshiri's hilarious recollections of her viral 'middle finger' airing to the nation, to more sombre reporter stories, such as listening to Megan Harwood-Baynes relay the experience of sitting in the court where Lucy Letby was sentenced, witnessing the reactions of Lucy's family, the victim's families, then having to do a piece on air only seconds later.

And let me tell you, budding journalists know how to party hard and still turn up for their morning workshops, putting my student history to complete shame!

Another job which makes me query whether this is 'work' or not!

✨ Loretta & Josh | Château Mas du Montet, Dordogne ✨

Like something straight off a film set, I half-expected Hugh Grant to wander out from behind one of the trees! This wedding had everything: the elegance of a French château, the warmth of a perfect autumn day, dogs in attendance (always a win), and the most incredible daytime fireworks display proving that smoke bombs needn’t be chaotic to photograph.

A photographer’s dream from start to finish. 💛

After the celebrations, I managed a little explore around the region and visited Les Bassins des Lumières in Bordeaux. A mind-blowing digital art centre set inside a former submarine base.
Their immersive exhibitions truly live up to the promise: “where art comes to life through monumental projections and captivating soundtracks.”

Still pinching myself that this is my job.

What an enjoyable photo session with the Hulbert West Financial Planners team!
This small but mighty group clearly works so well together, and it really showed during their shoot.

After capturing some professional headshots, I gave them the slightly tricky brief to “work like there’s nobody watching”, (or more accurately, “work like there’s not a photographer with a 200mm lens documenting your every move!”). Not an easy task, but they absolutely nailed it! Natural, relaxed, and full of genuine connection.

We wrapped up outside their beautiful office at St. Mary’s Court in Carleton Forehoe, a stunningly restored building that made the perfect backdrop for their team portraits.

A brilliant morning with a fantastic team. Thank you, Hulbert West Financial Planners!

Multi-generational photoshoots are truly the best. ❤️

There’s something so special about capturing a complete family. Grandparents, parents, and kids all in one frame before the cycle of life does what it always does.

I especially love it when the grandparents show up full of energy, giving the grandchildren a proper run for their money! It’s beautiful, it’s real, and honestly, it's a privilege to witness.

And where better to bring everyone together than the sunny, open space of Whitlingham Broad? It's the perfect backdrop for big groups, wide smiles, and unforgettable moments.

I'm so pleased with the results of a recent shoot for Workforce Challenge Partners at The Centrum, in the heart of the Norwich Science Park.

What a fantastic venue with its vibrant interiors, clean glass architecture, and a mix of natural textures outside, it’s the perfect spot for today’s more relaxed and personality-driven business portraits.

Gone are the days of stiff poses and plain backdrops. I've fully embraced the shift toward authenticity and colour, and The Centrum delivered on all fronts, both inside and out. From the smart, corporate-feel offices to the wooden terraces and green surroundings, it offered plenty of flexibility for capturing a variety of looks. Plus there's a cracking reception team there who will help with anything you need.

It was also great to catch up with Anna and Sudeep, who came fully prepared with multiple outfits and great energy for the session.

Behind the Scenes with Flawless Cleaning Services!

We spent the day on a multi-site shoot around Norwich capturing the wonderful team at Flawless Cleaning in action.

From hot yoga pod studios to banks, historic churches to buzzing cafés, opticians, sports clubs, and more, this hardworking crew keeps Norwich sparkling from corner to corner. 💦💪

Everywhere we went, it was the same story: smiles, elbow grease, and genuine pride in their work. It’s clear this team doesn’t just clean, they care about the quality of service. And the loyalty and energy they bring? 100% inspired by their fantastic founders, Ruth and Arran, whose leadership is evident in every member of the team.

Big respect to the Flawless family for raising the bar (and the shine) across the city! 🌟🧼

One of those moments I’ll never forget…

I was walking behind Michael on Brancaster Beach, camera in hand, pretending it was just another beautiful coastal shoot.

The light was perfect, the sea was calm but he was clearly nervous.

I followed quietly as he led her down the shoreline… and then, right on cue, he stopped, turned around, and dropped to one knee. 💍

She froze. Hands over her mouth. Tears. Laughter. A huge YES.

Capturing that raw, emotional, heart-stopping moment with the waves in the background and love literally in the air reminded me why I love what I do.

Congratulations! what an honour to witness and capture your beginning. ❤️

Aspiring young model Alex, who visited my studio recently, has perfected the 'Squinch', developed by headshot photographer Peter Hurley to give someone an air of confidence. It's basically a slight scrunching of the eyes, or, as the Guardian explains slightly better....

"1. Narrow the distance between your lower eyelid and your pupil by pulling up the palpebral ligament, which runs along the bottom of the eye. Basically, squint a bit.

2. Now, bring the top eyelid down. Again, it helps to imagine you’re squinting, just a bit less.

3. Pose to dazzling effect."
