This wolf pack is growing, gaining momentum, rising to challenges that it faces and taking a bold step every time they venture outside. Tonight was their first headline set and also at the much revered Arts Centre Venturing out in mid-January ie before the first pay day of the year is always a hard task for any event in the hospitality trade.
Also for a band with no vocals, just some samples, it can sometimes be harder to convince those outside their fan club to come see what they are all about. This didn’t matter as the Arts Centre was rammed for their set a testament to the Wolf Numbers music and the good word spreading about them.
One thing that truly stood out this evening was the amount of other musicians and creatives ( photographers, videographers, writers, radio hosts, graphic designers, etc) that were there on the night, a testament to this bands skills and presentation of themselves that they draw a creative crowd like that.
They come across as confident and relaxed but like all great performers they also have their own nerves before hitting the stage. This is the thing that helps them step up that next level, the worry of nerves as they want to perform and make it good. Kev, Jack and OZ are just normal human being like us all but when they take to the stage, they are relaxed, humorous, the crowd at ease enjoying good banter and connection with them.
This wolf pack will be howling and impressing where ever they go, they are worthy of headline slots and main stages at festivals, they are understated in themselves but the music speaks large volumes and can only draw in more fans. With new tracks they are developing and growing all the time. I look forward to future EP’s, The Bunker sessions already a firm favourite and hopefully an album. I feel with their music over the length of an album it would be a sonic adventure that will whisk away many and be a journey worth enjoying again and again.

This event at the hallowed turf of the Norwich Arts Centre was packed with a diverse line-up of from our own shores and from further afield. Georgie the lady behind Oddbox Promotions always brings music to make you think, to not always conform to what it could be and make you smile and consider.
Opening the evening was Corinthians, from London but with some local connections. A lovely set and enjoyed by the crowd which was starting to build. The music varied from gentle atmospheric music to rockier numbers which gave a good start to the evening and got the blood flowing.
I hope they visit our fine city again.

OddBox promotions run their nights with constant music so once an act has finished in the main hall then another performance begins in the bar area allowing the main stage to reset for the next act.
The superb HowToCureDyslexia band took to the bar stage, a seasoned performer and while having to deal with the noise of the bar, went through his set very well. With great lyrics and a great outlook it’s always a great performance.

Taking the main support slot of the evening was the Lost Levels. Their first performance in 4 years while slightly dogged on their first track by a stubborn microphone, they went into their set and got great applause from the appreciative and growing audience.

As always Oddbox Promotions puts on a great show, a testament to the Norwich music scene being able to fill this hallowed stage and arena in the darkest of winter and the time all the crowd stayed afterwards catching up, and chatting between all that were there was a testament to the great music on show and scene we have around us. Well done Georgie.
