The giants must have known where the sun would set.

Standing among the basalt steps of Giant’s Causeway, watching the Atlantic surge through the stones while the sun fires rays across the sea… it’s easy to see why legends were born here.

These columns were said to be laid by the Irish giant Finn McCool, building a path across the water to face his Scottish rival Benandonner.

Whether it was giants or volcanoes that made them… tonight the light made them look forged from gold.

Some sunsets you watch.
Others you stand inside.

Legend says a giant built this…

Standing on the stones at Giant’s Causeway tonight, it’s easy to see why people believed it.

The warrior giant Finn McCool supposedly built this path across the sea to fight the Scottish giant Benandonner.

Thousands of perfectly shaped basalt columns marching into the Atlantic… and tonight they were glowing like they’d just been forged.

Golden light, crashing waves, and a landscape that still feels a little bit mythical.

Not a bad evening on the north coast.

Same falls.
Completely different mood.

Came back for one more shot and the sun decided to clock in right at the fence line. Couldn’t have lined it up better if I tried (I did try).

Water thundering down in front of me, sky on fire behind it.

Worth hanging about for. Always is.

Dunseverick Falls today… and yes, I was that person standing on the edge.

Not contemplating life.
Controlling a drone.

The Atlantic was going full send at the rocks, spray everywhere, wind trying to claim expensive equipment as a sacrifice. Meanwhile the waterfall just kept pouring into the madness like this is totally standard behaviour.

That green pool looks calm. It isn’t.
Neither were my hands.

Worth every second though.

The road down to Ballintoy Harbour isn’t really a road… it’s more like someone dropped a ribbon down the cliffs and hoped cars would manage it.

From the air you see every twist, every bend, and how it snakes its way towards the Atlantic along the wild Causeway Coast. Standing on the edge flying the drone, you realise this place is built for drama — cliffs, crashing waves, and a road that definitely keeps your brakes honest.

Worth the walk up the hill…
and definitely worth the drone flight.

Perched above the winding road down to Ballintoy Harbour, you realise very quickly that this place wasn’t built for straight lines. The road snakes its way down the cliffs like someone dropped a ribbon across the landscape and let gravity do the rest.

From the air, the colours of the Causeway Coast really show off — emerald fields, dark volcanic rock, and that pale Atlantic water pushing into the harbour. It’s one of those views where every bend in the road reveals another postcard.

Standing on the edge flying the drone, you get the feeling this road has stories to tell… fishermen heading down before dawn, tourists nervously tackling the hairpins, and photographers like me trying not to fly the drone into a cliff face.

Some roads are just roads.
This one is part of the adventure.

Grey skies ALL day and then this 👆
The only sunshine we got — and it lasted about 5 minutes.
Worth standing in freezing water for? Absolutely. 🌅🔥
