When I was my bestfriends bridemaid she was absolutely set on one thing: she wanted each of us to choose a dress we genuinely felt comfortable in and would happily wear again. Her only request was that we stuck to shades of blue or green.

She gave us complete freedom beyond that. Long or short, lace or satin, sleeves or straps. None of it mattered to her. What she cared about was that we each found something that made us feel like a million dollars. And honestly, I loved the result. The mix of styles, fabrics, and silhouettes created the most beautifully eclectic look. It felt relaxed, joyful, and perfectly in tune with the vibe of the day.

It also made the morning feel so much more personal. Each dress reflected the personality of the person wearing it, and together it created a gorgeous, harmonious palette without feeling overly “matchy.”

Did you know that I only photograph a small number of weddings each year?

I’ve always been very mindful that I never want wedding photography to feel like a conveyor belt... one wedding rolling into the next. I love this work far too much to let it become something I simply “get through.” Limiting the number of weddings I take on allows me to stay inspired, present, and fully invested in every couple I work with.

I live a modest, grounded life, and for me this job has always been about passion rather than volume. I want the space to truly get to know my couples, to understand their story, and to build a connection that feels genuine. When I have that, I can pour my whole heart and soul into photographing their day in a way that feels honest and deeply personal.

Because of this, I tend to attract couples who share the same values. People who care about connection, emotion, and the people they love. Family is incredibly important to me, and that naturally comes through in my work. I’m drawn to the quiet moments, the in‑between glances, the relationships that make a wedding day meaningful.

I have to confess, I’m an absolute sucker for confetti photos. The more confetti, the better as far as I’m concerned. If I’m not still finding little pieces of it in my car, my camera bag, or tucked somewhere unexpected a week later, then clearly there just wasn’t enough!

If you’re planning a confetti moment, it’s always worth checking in with your venue, church, or registry office ahead of time. Some have specific rules about where confetti can be thrown or require it to be biodegradable, while others are much more relaxed. And if your venue has a strict “no confetti” policy, don’t worry, there are so many fun alternatives that create just as much joy and movement. Think bubbles drifting through the air, colourful paper planes, or flying ribbon wands. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even combine them for an extra‑playful exit.

Whatever you choose, it’s all about creating a moment that feels joyful, celebratory, and completely you.⠀⠀
