Photos from the 2026 England's Medieval Festival at The King's Grove, Pippingford Park in East Sussex.
A variety of photos of participants and public alike. Entertainment from re-enactors, living history, joust, larp, cosplay all happening in one glorious event. The weather wasn't the best on Saturday, but got better as the weekend progressed.
Good to see this show going from strength to strength

The night photo of the cannon fire on the fourth image is a teaser of a post still to come. The House of Bayard have been looking forward to doing this for years. I look forward to doing this again.

Yes, they're late, but "if you rush a miracle man..."
Regular work, life and technical issues culminated into a storm that made these a "tad" late. But anyway enough excuses, here's the final installment from English Heritage's Legendary Joust at Eltham Palace and Gardens.

Happy Friday one and all,
Photos from last weekend's Legendary Joust for English Heritage by Historic Equitation, supported by Sir William Harrington's Companye's Living History backdrop and foot combat displays, with Sorted Technical on the sound system.

An absolutely fantastic weekend away, thank you to all who helped me over the weekend. Things would have been much different without you. (also for the chair while taking photos of the joust) Apologies for the tardiness of my photos, my normal work got in the way.

Last weekend's Queen's Joust at Leeds Castle, joust and combat courtesy of Destrier, Living History displays by House of Bayard and guests.

A little time coming but my real job got in the way and as is quoted from The Princess Bride film, "You rush a miracle man, you get rotten miracles."
