Very soon I hope to launch a Kickstarter campaign to fund the printing of my first book. ‘The Knowledge of Cobblers - A Photographic Record of Northamptonshire Shoemaking’.

The book features 200 photos inside Sanders & Sanders Ltd Crockett & Jones BARKER SHOES Gaziano & Girling during the pandemic of 2019 and 2020. I hope it will not only serve as collectors item for those interested in the shoe industry and shoe collecting but also be a reference for social, local, Industrial and fashion historians as well as be of interest to photographers.

Will you be preordering a copy?

Those who pre-order will have their names printed and thanked in the book and receive a signed copy an A5 limited edition authenticated print. With options to also by ticket to the combined exhibition preview, book launch and charity auction event. I’m also looking into producing limited edition 500 piece jigsaws which I hope to make available to preorder.

After 6 years of procrastination, I am so close to actually getting this book project finished. ‘The Knowledge of Cobblers’ is a celebration of Northamptons historic shoemaking, craft and inherited skill. Featuring 200 images of Gaziano & Girling Barker Shoes Official Crockett & Jones and Sanders & Sanders Ltd. All images were taken during the turbulent period of 2019/20.

Now to find a publisher.
