It's a decision I had wanted to do for years!
Why did it take me so long? I was too worried about my family not being able to share photos of my son that they love doing, I was too worried that it might affect my family and newborn photo session bookings. But then it finally clicked, safeguarding children is FAR more important than anything.

• I get 18+ Instagram accounts view my stories when I post a photo or even mention the word "child"
• I have had people I don't know come up to me going "your son is so cute, I've seen so many photos of him on Facebook"
• I've learnt the many dangers of posting children online through courses and articles
• Children cannot give us consent to share their photos online. Children aren't old enough to have their own accounts, so why do we feel it's okay to plaster their faces on our accounts? Children do not understand how toxic and dangerous social media is itself, let alone how easy strangers can take their photos and use them for god knows what.

It just doesn't sit right with me anymore.

But don't worry, me not posting faces on here will not affect the beautiful galleries I deliver to you. You will still have all your desired photos, faces and all. My galleries are password protected so only you can access them ❤️

You may be seeing a lot more people making this decision. Please may I remind you that we are not doing this as a trend. We are just wanting to protect children.

So happy to have been chosen as a recommended supplier! I have worked with them for a few years now and the hard work and care they put into their events are truly amazing.

Not only do they work closely with us suppliers, they also get to know the couples on the day, and help them choose the most suited suppliers for their wedding day. They really know their stuff!

For some reason when I look back at some of my weddings, my past self had put small selections of photos into folders. I'm not sure what that purpose was, but here is just one small folder from the many - K&C's first reception in 2021.

I guess these photos just show the little bits I capture on your day that you usually don't notice until you receive your gallery.

Sitting here thinking about how hard the industry is nowadays.

We have started becoming entertainers and pretend online influencers to attract viewers and potential clients. Following trends, becoming people we are not, because it seems that META is now controlling our small business' and deciding who becomes successful and who doesn't.

Bring back the old days. Bring back word of mouth and trust people based on reviews and their work. Trust our websites.

Thankfully, I'm a Leo. I'm stubborn, and therefore I refuse to get sucked into it all anymore. I will post what I want, when I want, and I will do it all authentically and organically. And if that doesn't work for META's standards? Then so be it, at least I am being me 🤎
