I love to see the difference between how the day begins when I turn up to your ceremony/prep to how the day ends (for me) before I leave you to continue your celebrations throughout the night.

Usually I walk into a moment of calm. Quietly photographing you getting your hair done, or guests slowly turning up, or capturing the details such as your flowers or your beautiful DIY decor.

Then depending on how long you've booked me for, I usually end the night photographing you hitting the dancefloor, the kids running around together giggling away, or capturing you sharing a quiet moment and a drink with your close loved ones.

Every wedding is different, and I move with the vibes. I don't interfere, I make good effort not to get in the way as I enjoy photographing the natural, in-the-moment shots. A lot of the photographs I capture, you don't even realise I had taken it until you received your gallery! And that is what I aim for. Discrete, and not in your face. My goal is for you to hardly see me (my height might help with that too) and to enjoy your day without thinking "jeez her cameras aimed at me again"! 😌🥂

E M M A & M A R C // 🐚🤍

This amazing couple got the wedding day of their dreams last week at the forever stunning Grendon Lakes !

It was non stop partying for this lot! Honestly, dancing for hours with help from The Raven House Band bringing banger after banger 🎸

There was a subtle hint of a festival theme, with wristbands and lanyards, along with dusty pink accents, wellington boots, and the classic "pe***ng" game (IYKYK)

A fun wedding all round, and they had their family, friends, and their 5 children all there to celebrate their beautiful big day 🥂

Sarah & Grant had the most elegant, emotional, and rock n roll wedding. Everything they chose and planned for their day really showed their personalities 🤘💐

They tied the knot at the STUNNING Chicheley Hall Wedding Venue where they celebrated with their nearest and dearest...and one or two motorbikes 👀 🏍️ Maybe I'll show you those photos next?

These two are a bloody love story!!

From photographing many a wedding, to attending weddings as a guest, to getting married myself.
I've adored every wedding I have ever photographed, but of course I still go away with new tips and tricks, learning as I go and observing each day.

Here are some opinions I believe to be important!
Whether you agree or not 🖤

Of course you are going to have "the shot" you want your photographer to capture, as well as your photographer asking you before the day for a list of must-have photographs you would like.

However, try not to obsess too much with Pinterest Perfect or even planning what your next profile picture is already going to be before it's captured.

I mean, as a documentary wedding photographer, I find it more important to photograph the natural photos of you laugh-snorting through your ceremony, or not giving a s**t if you collect leaves in the bottom lace of your dress or confetti in your hair. That's what I see as the perfect shot. Perfectly unposed, perfectly you.

It's your wedding, of course it's your day! But you did also invite 50 other people to celebrate it with you.

They have probably taken annual leave for your day, sorted childcare, or travelled a long distance to make sure they witness your wonderful marriage. Make sure you show them your appreciation.

I remember making sure I went around to every guest at our wedding one by one to hug and thank them for being there. They all probably sacrificed something to be there! I know mine definitely did seeing as we got married on a Wednesday 🙊

Anyway, make time for them. Invite only those you want there. And if it's too difficult to keep any family peace from this? Then frickin' elope!

There's something so beautiful about elopements.
They're intimate, quiet, and so magical.

Like I said, if it's too tricky to invite some family members you want without upsetting the ones you don't really want there (honestly don't feel bad about it) then look into eloping, or have the smallest wedding party with only those you definitely want there.

There's no point planning a huge wedding when you're having doubts about your guestlist 🖤

PS. I dream of photographing a Vegas wedding 😍 💒
