Day 4 of is Tender 🤍

There’s so much pressure around the first kiss after you’ve officially tied the knot, and it’s always one of the most important photos that couples want from the day.

But honestly? The moment that always gets me is actually the first hug 🥹

I think it’s a really true representation of the feeling you get when you’ve just done the BIGGEST thing and you’re overwhelmed with relief and joy. No posing, no thinking, no performing just one big, genuine squeeze - YOU DID IT! 🤍✌🏻

The best dancefloor photos are always the ones where everyone lets their hair down - I’m talking unhinged dancemoves, sweaty hugs and singing to Mr Brightside at the top of your lungs 💃🏼

Take it from me - If you want the best dancefloor pics, you HAVE to be right there in the chaos with your guests - because as soon as you leave, they leave. It’s your energy that keeps the party alive 🤍

Let’s be honest—posing can feel awkward, right? If you feel uncomfortable infront of the camera, you’re definitely not alone. It’s the number one thing I hear from couples who are getting married.

Spending hours trying to look perfect isn’t anyone’s idea of fun - especially on your big day 🙈 So I like to break my couples portraits into shorter sessions at different points of the day - so you’re not away from the people you love for too long 🤍

I’ve had a flurry of new followers today, so I thought I’d do another little intro to say hi 👋🏼

I’m Lauren. Dog parent to a naughty cocker spaniel called Norman. Photographer. Marketer. Big fan of the US office. I’m 99% sure I’m solar powered. There’s nothing I love more than a flat white from a nice cafe or a cold beer outdoors on a warm day. Taking photos has changed my life. I’m a millennial, which means I use too many exclamation points/smiley faces in my emails, and I have to go through and remove them before I press send 🙈

Most of this isn’t relevant to whether or not I can take a good photo, but it’s nice to know i’m a human, right?
