Sharing the gallery space this afternoon with a few quiet companions. Dan Turner is also here to tell you about the work he is doing to help rid our seas of plastic, with the beach bird group. Last week to see Heath’s Piscary Exhibition. It’s open until the 24th June.

I’m in the gallery space at for a few hours this afternoon. Had a few visitors already, also joined by Dan Turner and his incredibly interesting display of birds and the plastics found in the stomach of sea dwelling creatures. Quite scary stuff.

I met the lovely Janet and her husband at the gallery. Here they are enjoying looking at a set of the images that are part of the Heath’s Piscary - North Shields Photography Exhibition at North Shields Fish Quay. Had a great day at the gallery today. It was lovely talking to this lady and her daughter, shame I forgot to get their names. I think she must know everyone in North Shields, she certainly knew someone who lived in just about every house in the images I’ve got in display 😃.

Not something I usually do, but I confess I had an amazing time photographing this great collection of North East models. I visited a couple of well known studios in Newcastle upon Tyne and Hebburn in South Tyneside, as well as location shots in Newcastle town centre, all organised by professional photographers local to both areas.

Steeped in this rich history the Fish Quay once played an important role in the town’s property whilst forging its regional identity. However, since the terms of the European economic community agreement’ was signed under the Heath government and more latterly, with the restrictions imposed by ‘European Union’ on fishing quotas, the India’s steadily declined. It is an absolutely gorgeous sunny day here in North Shields. So I have visited my exhibition at the Old Low Light on the Fish Quay, and am sitting having a well deserved coffee, I suspect the first of a few and I’d best not forget the cake to go with it! As long as I can remember how, I’ll add some more work to the website, but if I can’t quite remember how to do the easy to read help files that WP have put together will jog my memory - I hope.
