We nipped out yesterday for a couple of hours at dawn.
We had hoped to get a cracking sunrise, but instead were greeted with an overcast sky, a horrible south easterly chop, rain showers, and to top it off the fishing was very poor.
Lots of clean smaller stamp fish, but all returned safely.

We sneaked out at sunrise for a little recce mission, on the ebb tide, yesterday morning. We dropped anchor in around 9 metres of water, and it was quickly apparent that the usual big baits / cart cocktails weren't working, so we switched up to baited feathers.

We immediately and consistently found lots of smaller Codling, Haddock, Whiting and even Pouting on the inner rough ground. As soon as slack water arrived at around 10:30 am we hauled anchor and headed for home.

We had a run out a couple of days ago with zero wind, flat seas and sunshine once again.

It was most of the guys very first time fishing so we found them their first Whiting, Pouting, Haddock and some decent Coalies, and then tried a few wrecks to get them their first Ling.

Not a single Mackerel came aboard so luckily we brought plenty of bait for backup. We also tried the inner rough ground and only one very small Codling made an appearance.

It was pretty hard going this morning until we found a few Mackerel for bait; once the tide turned a steady number of smaller Ling, Po***ck, Codling, Haddock, Coalies and Whiting made an appearance...with an endless stream of Pouting pretty much everywhere we looked.

It was a lovely day for this time of year, with good craic, mild winds, flat seas and plenty of sunshine for a change (and a bonus Porbeagle Shark for good measure)...

It was a pretty chilly and choppy start to the day yesterday, but luckily we managed to find enough Mackerel for bait at the first stop, which hasn't always been that easy lately.

The conditions eased up and it turned into a lovely sunny and much calmer afternoon. There were plenty of nice Ling coming in consistently on pretty much every wreck we visited, along with a few smaller Pollack, and any amount of Whiting, Haddock, Coalies and Pouting to keep the lads busy.

Still a few Mackerel about 🐟 👌🏻🎣

We had an early run out yesterday to beat the forecasted wind and swell later that day.

The first stop for Mackerel was blessed with an amazing sunrise. The majority of the day was flat calm with no wind, and lots of nice Ling, and a few decent Codling and Pollack thrown in the mix.

Another enjoyable day with good anglers and great craic, you can't ask for much more than that at this time of year!

We headed out early this morning to glorious, flat calm conditions; we found some Mackerel first stop (but not in huge numbers for the first time in a while).

We immediately hit a wreck for slack water and Marcus knocked into a lovely Ling weighing in at 13lb 8oz on the second drift, which would ultimately turn out to be the sweep winner. Paul and Chris were nipping at his heels throughout the day with nice Ling of their own up to 12lb. Marcus even landed a little Conger Eel which was unexpected!

We were plagued by Whiting and Pouting throughout the day which made finding the better stamp of fish difficult. As a whole the fishing was quite challenging today; thankfully everyone onboard was an experienced angler and took it in their stride.
