One of the best parts of my job is being able to share other people's joy, during some of the best times in their lives. Sarah + Adam

It was brilliant catching up with Sarah and Adam recently for their engagement shoot at Happy Valley in Orkney, somewhere I hadn’t visited for years.

They were great fun to photograph, and I’m now really looking forward to their wedding, which will also be my first time photographing a wedding in a nightclub! It’s definitely going to be a good one.

It was great catching up with Courtney and Matty during my brief trip home to Orkney last week for their engagement shoot.

We had a wander, explored a few possible photo locations and chatted through all their plans for the big day. We also discovered a brilliant little spot that I somehow never knew existed, despite growing up in Orkney!

And as if a lovely shoot wasn’t enough, I even headed home with a couple of jars of locally harvested honey. Not a bad afternoon at all!
Really looking forward to photographing their wedding soon.

What a weekend! Nothing beats a family wedding, especially when it takes place on the farm down by the loch.

After the ceremony, everyone headed to the beautifully transformed sheep shed for one incredible party. We made a quick stop off to get some photos with a couple of their horses with one them being only 7 weeks old!

Northern Limit kept the dance floor jumping all night, although I genuinely thought I might meet my maker about two-thirds of the way through the Orcadian Strip the Willow… or, as they call it up here, simply Strip the Willow. IYKYK!

OMG, I love these two. Kate and Lainey are an absolute dream, and just a ridiculously good looking couple. It is always special when you meet people you instantly vibe with, and we had such a fun afternoon turning their lounge into a makeshift studio before heading out for a wee wander for some more photos. Cannot wait to share the rest of these.

Why do I love weddings so much? Because everyone is so happy to be there, laughing, smiling and having a great time which makes for great photos. Well except for this wee guy who was not amused at his photo taken and the girl in the last photo was just there for the drink 😂.

Happy 3rd Anniversary to and ! What a fantastic day that was! (Caitlin's dad, who walked her down the aisle, then performed the wedding ceremony) got a bunch of his wedding supplier friends together to make it the most magical day ever!
Sorry if I miss anyone, we had.
do a surprise performance as Caitlin and Callum walked up the aisle.
did some pre-ceremony magic for the groom and kept the guests entertained as the couple had a cheeky wee pre-ceremony first look.
Mickey and Mini Mouse showed up for a group photo.
The real Santa Claus showed up and gave all the kids presents.
dancers put on a fantastic show in the evening followed by a sax player who kept the dance floor full!!
