I'll be in the workshop Tuesday to Thursday from 9.30am to 4pm, so come along if you want a bargain.

Sale day approaches! So I've sorted out some "naked" (i.e. no glass, mount, or backing board) at really good prices. Top price £10! Some are hand-painted and quite large. There's also a few 2nds for £2/£3, and a large 2nd hand one, that's had nothing done to it, for £2.
Lots of mountboard (and some backing board) cut to standard sizes: 8x6", 9x7", 10x8", 12x10". Some have been turned into window mounts, others are blank. A variety of colours and whites. I've got a stack of mountboard uncut, so I'm happy to cut it to whatever size you'd like. All at bargain prices.
Although I take card, cash is much appreciated as the card company doesn't take a cut of my income!

I have six tabletop display stands for sale. One design is suitable for showing mounted prints and the other is designed to display greetings cards. Both were made to my specifications by Hurfar Engineering of Bournemouth. And I've got another somewhere which I'll unearth during the week. A bargain at £10 each, buyer to collect. They are easy to take apart in order to store flat. Let me know if you're interested.

For those interested in either buying the business or the equipment, here are a few photos.

I had this idea last night: What artists need is an ARC, an Artists' Resource Centre. There are quite a few co-op shops/galleries run by groups of artists thus cutting out the middlemen. But a lot of an artist' expense is paying for the printing, the framing, etc. What if there was a place where artists could go and do all that themselves. Where someone (like me) could teach them the necessary skills then use the equipment as and when the need arises.
What's needed is a reasonable location with enough room for the kit, work and storage. It could be set up as, say, a CIC (Community Interest Company, i.e. not for profit), with artists, perhaps, subscribing to be able to make use of the facilities, then paying for the materials plus a percentage extra which would go towards rent and rates (if any) & utilities.
Just an idea, but what do people think? A group like SHAF could, for instance, be at the heart of it.

Retirement!

I'm sad to say that I shall be leaving Seale-Hayne at the end of March/early April.

I'd like to thank all my lovely customers for their loyalty and friendship over the past 11 years. I'll miss you all very much.

I'm going to try to sell the business as a going concern, it makes a profit after all, but due to the economic climate I'm not wildy optimistic. I know that many of my customers rely on the service I provide and I'd dearly love for this to continue. I'll keep you posted on how this goes.

I will still be accepting orders (I still have rent to pay!) during January and February (and possibly March, depending on how things go).

Keep an eye on this page as I will be having a sale of my prints, a sale of ready-made frames and window mounts.

So, I shall be polishing my hiking boots, warning our allotment of impending serious allotmenteering, and getting stuck into more music arranging for our village band, UFOlk. Rest assured I'll not be bored!

Framed@hannah's is now closed for a well-deserved (at least, I think so) Christmas break. I'll be back on January 6th.
So I wish all my lovely customers a very happy Christmas and new year. Thank you for your support during 2025, and I look forward to seeing you again in 2026.
