What is forest bathing? 🌲
Shinrin-yoku began in Japan in 1982, in a country that is over two-thirds forest, as a simple idea: bring people back to the trees.
It isn't a hike. There's no destination, no distance, no pace to keep. It's slowing down enough to begin to notice: the light through the leaves, the sound of the wind, the ground beneath your feet, the smell after rain.
Our first full film walks through it one sense at a time, with hand-drawn notebook pages along the way.
You don't need a forest like this. A park, a single tree, can be enough to begin.
